Inseong: This greasy but loving boy finds other ways to show love instead. He sends you enough air kisses to make the boys gag, you link arms a lot, and so on.

Youngbin: Rather than use physical contact, you both use your words & actions to express love instead. He makes you breakfast in bed, you bring him coffee during dance practice, you send ‘I love you’ texts every day.

Jaeyoon: He loves to cuddle but instead of letting that get him down, he immediately comes up with a different way to be affectionate. You often rest your head on each others shoulders or play with each others fingers.

Dawon: “No cuddles? I’m fine with that, it’s fine,” he says, pouting. “Upset? No .. it’s not like I like cuddles.” For him, he lives with his heart on his sleeve. Cuddles and skinship are how he shows his affection, whether you’re family, a friend or a partner. So you not cuddling is almost like saying you don’t love him.

Instead, you both find a way to be affectionate without cuddling. Forehead kisses, cheek pinching & hair stroking are used in place of cuddling.

Rowoon: Struggles so hard with the no cuddling policy. He’s filled to the brim with love and it’s hard to tame. Instead, you both find a compromise; cuddling sometimes but only as long as you’re comfortable, even a 30 second spooning is enough for him.

Taeyang: He’s so tempted sometimes, when you’re acting especially cute, to wrap you up and hardcore cuddle with you. But he respects your boundaries and bites his lip, instead asking if you can hardcore hold hands instead.

Hwiyoung: Though he tries to hide it, he’s pretty sensitive so he wonders if you disliking cuddles is because of him. He spends a while feeling insecure before finally asking you and after hearing you out, he’s no longer bothered by the lack of cuddling.

Like, for example, if one if them wanted someone really active and playful, but they fall for serious and passive person. JIN: Deep down, like a lot of people, looks matter to him. As the visual, he’s always pictured marrying someone just as beautiful as himself and living a picture perfect life. Though someone not stunningly beautiful won’t catch his initial attention, his heart is different. Seokjin just wants to love and be loved. So someone who can give him that is enough.

SUGA: 100% does not care that you’re not his ideal type. Regardless of gender, or race, or whether you can sing or not; he wants someone genuine who will love him wholeheartedly.

It takes a lot for him to trust someone so finding that someone is all he wants in a relationship.

J-HOPE: Many people dream about their ideal type but when you find someone you truly love, something as superficial as a type means nothing. Someone who will take care of him, who his dog loves, who’s honest and loyal is all Hoseok asks for.

RM: For him, his ideal type was never personality focused (beyond wanting what everyone does, loyalty, love, etc.) but more physical. There’s a certain body shape, innocent but sexy pout, long hair (somewhat porn star-esque) that ignites a fire inside him.

Though someone that’s physically not his type might not catch his attention at first, it’s the personality he falls in love with. And when you love someone, their appearance is meaningless. He doesn’t care if you’re not his ideal type but it will take him a little longer to fall for you.

JIMIN: As an idol who’s been judged by his looks and weight, he could never respect himself if he looked at another human being with that same judgement. What matters most is personality ... but ... someone taller is a setback. The height difference will take him a while to get used to but it won’t stop him from ultimately loving you with all his heart.

V: Looks don’t mean anything to him but he holds someone’s personality as truly important. Someone respectful, who cherishes family and treats everyone equally means a lot to him so someone the opposite of that will take a long, long time for him to love. It’s not impossible but he’s a filial son and his family liking his partner is important.

JUNGKOOK: As he himself has admitted, he’s a product of all the boys’ personalities, so I think he’s a mixture of all their reactions. He has a type, that’s he’s attracted to & that catches his attention, but what matters most is personality.

That said, someone his parents or the other members disprove of will also be a set back. If he falls deeply and truly for someone, regardless of these things, then he will follow his heart. He followed it as a teen and despite the struggles, look at where he is in life.

Looking after others alone can be tiring so having someone to share that burden with is ideal, though you mustn’t forget to also take care of her. Her looks are the only thing (some) people know her for and though it’s a compliment, she would rather be known for her hard work and kindness. So someone who doesn’t judge appearance is ideal.

Wendy: Would like an authoritative person. Not someone demanding but a parental type of figure, who knows how to effectively deal with issues and can guide her through her struggles. You have to have the perfect balance of knowing when to give advice and when to listen; that’s all she wants from a relationship.

Seulgi: The perfect person for her would be a mix of crazy and calm, someone who can be wild and get her out of her comfort zone, but also have quiet nights in as she draws and they read.

Joy: She would work well with someone similar to her, with a mischievous spirit. But not as mischievous, just enough to be fun but not too much so they can also keep her focused. Someone who has a goal and works to achieve that is her type.

Yeri: Someone protective is her type. Since debut, she’s dealt with a lot of unjustified hate and someone who’s there for her 24/7 is perfect. They should be a youthful, fun type of person but with a side that can be serious when it’s needed.

LUHAN: Finds your interest in all things dark a little troubling but wants to be the best, most supportive boyfriend he can be. He’ll watch all of your videos, no matter how nightmare inducing, hoping you don’t see through the lie as he says;

KRIS: As a dutiful boyfriend, he wants to support you when he can, including playing a role in your next short horror film. Being a fake mob boss is fun, he finds, and the fake blood washes off surprisingly easily. Support through finance is something he learned from his parents, whether it’s right or wrong, and it’s how he shows his love for you.

KAI: He tries his best to be an honest person, meaning he openly talks about the relationship and about your films. He promotes the films through his social media accounts and often jokes on shows or by leaving comments on your IG that:

SEHUN: Similar to Kyungsoo, he won’t outright say his support for your work. Instead he likes all the meme twitter accounts, sometimes re-tweeting the super funny ones. JIN: “First of all, of course I was just as cute, I’ve been handsome every day of my life. Secondly ... what the f-” His mind is reeling. Since your debut, he’s been your fan. He even collects your photo cards, he stans that hard. Not once did he recognize you from school, heck, you were in the same damn class and he didn’t realize.

“Mom! Where’s the school year book, I need proof of this!”

SUGA: Upon seeing your interview, all the dots connect. He had always felt a connection to you. There was something about your face, your voice that brought out a warm feeling he didn’t understand but truly loved. Now that he knows you were in his class, he realizes that you were the person he wrote a love letter to.

“I’m an idiot,” he groans. “My first crush is my idol crush and I didn’t even realize it.”

J-HOPE: In the next Cypher, he raps about how a famous idol has called him their ideal type since high school. It’s fire, the beat goes hard and to further send ARMY’s reeling, he ends the verse with a clever rhyme that Gwangju has the biggest chilli peppers*. The media eats the possible relationship up and your ship name even trends on Twitter.

He finally gets your number from a friend and texts you: ‘You know, everyone seems to think we’re dating. Should we prove them right?’

You reply: ‘That depends on how true your Cypher verse is ;)’

RM: He talks openly in interviews abut having watched your interview and how it affected him. He wants the world to know that he’s human, not a toy in the music industry, and hopes true ARMY’s will respect his honesty.

Interviewer: “Oh, really? You watched the interview? Do you have anything to say to them, if they’re watching?”

He slightly reddens, face scrunching up in shyness. “Uh, yes, uh, (Y/N), if you’re watching .. I’m sorry I didn’t recognize you. We both had different friends, different paths in life. But I truly am a fan of you now, of your music and stage performances. If you’re free some day, we could maybe go on a date and catch up.”

JIMIN: As a teenager, Jimin didn’t have a lot of confidence. He always felt lesser than his members and doubted himself in every decision. At the realization that, he could have had a chance with his ideal type (aka you) if he just had the confidence to ask out the beautiful person in his class, he’s determined to change that.

He’s conscious of upsetting ARMY’s so he privately messages you on social media. He apologizes for not having recognized you but wants to know if you’re free to meet up for a drink. And the rest is up to you ~

V: The more he re-watches the interview, the more annoyed he gets. He thinks life works in mysterious ways; the idol he followed with dedication, whose fancams he watches, whose albums he religiously listens to, had sat next to him in class.

“Is this karma?” he huffs. “What did I do to deserve this?”

JUNGKOOK: The boys collectively loose their minds. They can’t believe that the person young and shy Jungkook talked about as a teen (”Hyung, they borrowed my pencil today!”) was the idol he talks about now (”Hyung, did you hear their latest track? It’s good!”). In the midst of their screaming, Jungkook’s shock fades to a smugness.

“Even the universe knows how charming I am. I think we’re destined to date.”
