Generally, all of them will of course be gentle with an unexperienced MC, although their individual reactions would be a little more nuanced (but also a little spoilery, which is why I'm not getting into it). I would never write an RO who is a douche about something like that, because personally, I couldn't imagine wanting to romance someone like that.

Saga would be totally professional. Maybe a little too stiff. But she's giving her best.

Nea would probably be too nervous to say anything and let MC do the talking if it's necessary.

Mara would be unusually nervous and giddy with excitement. IT'S EXACTLY AS SHE IMAGINED. IT COULD BE LIKE THIS FOREVER, EVERY DAY, EVERY MOMENT OF THEIR LIFE.

Ivar would be fairly normal - or at least his version of normal - as long as you keep your distance. But if you start holding his hand or even - *gasp!* - kiss? He won't be able to keep the blush from creeping up his neck and ears.

Felix would revel in it. If he hadn't become a bank clerk, he could just as well be an actor. He's a smooth operator, if you will. And he will enjoy every second of it.

Rasmus would use the situation to his benefit and get very handsy, and steal kisses as often as possible. He might actually blow the undercover operation by laying it on too thick. Even though that's just what he's like!

Alda would be surprisingly good at this... as long as nobody makes her angry, or sad, or... okay, it might go well for like five minutes max. She might be too intense for this kind of thing. But... she'd also use this chance to show MC just how loving, affectionate and caring she can be in a relationship.

Orvar would externally be very normal about it - his usual protective gentle giant self. Internally, on the other hand... maybe more like a little fangirl screaming at a very high pitch.

Random facts, let's see. I'll give you five.

Orvar likes Kpop. Has no idea what the lyrics mean, but the songs are bangers nonetheless. But he only listens to it when nobody else is around.

They don't like fish. Red meat is their favorite.

They love nature, but at the same time, they're an absolute homebody. So they tend to either be outside in nature or inside. They don't like cities.

He really likes children, but children are often intimidated by his height and body mass and either just stare at him or start crying.

If they could, they would actually like to be vegan.

Can we choose how the MC will react to them and will the potential sanity stat affect the severity of the situation or the attitude of the MC?

Another stat related question, I assume the believer/skeptic will affect how they will start looking into the mysterious stalker of the woods? And with the sanity and fake ro's, I assume the MC can seek comfort from them, all the more fun when the truth is revealed.

About the fake ROs:

Thank you! I found the concept so intriguing so I just had to incorporate it somewhere, and this project was still an idea, so I added it :) It actually fits perfectly with the plot points I have planned.

Nobody is getting eaten, but... there are characters that might not survive.

Some characters are not what they seem to be, and some characters are even worse than what they seem to be.

Stat questions:

You can definitely choose how your MC reacts to the revelations! The sanity stat won't affect the severity, but it might affect the attitude of MC/the choices you can pick to react. I'm not sure about that yet, but I like the idea.

The believer/skeptic stat will affect several things, and one of them will definitely be the stalker in the woods! And the MC can definitely seek comfort from all ROs, fake or not.

Fake RO revelations:

The fake RO revelations will be rather late, actually. Don't hate me for this, please - you will still be able to go with a different RO. I have things planned that reach farther than one book.

Our house:

The house is a typical Swedish house, if a little small. It does have a shack/barn next to it, but that's unused and locked up when MC arrives.

The hedges are relatively close to our dear neighbor's house. On the other side of the house as well as behind the house, where we have no neighbors, there's a medium sized garden, and otherwise only forest. No fences.

Felix, Rasmus and Alda will be quite teasing towards MC, each in their own way, but always in a loving manner.

For Felix, this means constantly flirting with MC. He loves to see them blush. <3

Rasmus is similar in that matter, but he prefers dirty jokes to make MC blush, in combination with some flirting. ;)

Alda is also an absolute flirt towards MC to tease them, but she does it in a more lighthearted way that could also just be regular messing around.

Nea will feel like she finally found her soulmate. They're just like her, and it's amazing. Let's be short and shy together <3 She will actually get out of her shell a little more than usual if she notices MC is just as shy as her, because she really wants to get to know them; know their hobbies, what they like and don't like, what they think about forests...

Saga will be kind and caring around a shy and quiet MC. MC is just like her little sister, so it's in a sense easy for her to adapt; but she has to watch out she doesn't treat MC exactly like another sibling, if MC is both short and shy.

Ivar would like a short MC a lot, because he's also short. And he enjoys the quiet, so that's cool with him, too. If MC is very shy, he might sometimes struggle a bit, uncertain of how to react.

Mara and Orvar will both be extra protective over a short and/or shy MC.

For Mara it enhances the obsession she has.

Rasmus and Felix are very confident about themselves, Alda might be unstable, but she's not the jealous type. Saga and Orvar have some trust issues regarding relationships, even though they trust MC.

First I wasn't even sure who would walk in on them because... MC has their own house. But then it struck me.

I think this is pretty much the same ask I misinterpreted on the blog for Suevi, so let me do it correctly this time around lol

Mara would be furious. How dare anyone besides them court MC?! The other person might just disappear one late night, never to be found.

Orvar would make it clear that no matter who MC ends up actually being with, he will always be there for and protect MC. Secretly, they will intimidate the other person until they back off.

Sad as it would be, Ivar would probably give up on a possible future relationship with MC. He feels especially strong about this if MC has issues deciding between him and someone else, and thinks that maybe they were just not meant to be together.

You can't get rid of Felix that easily. He will use every trick, every ruse and every feint he knows to get rid of his competition. When he wants something, or someone, he can be quite ruthless.

Saga would be patient. She's certain that if she is supposed to end up with MC, she will end up with them. She trusts MC and if they are truly interested in her, they will make the right choice.

Nea on the other hand would be a little bundle of nerves and anxiety. She really likes MC, but what if they reject her? She would be heartbroken before MC can even make the decision on who they would want to date.

Alda would flip her shit. She's too emotionally unstable and impulsive for a rational reaction, especially when she likes likes someone. Her competitor might end up in the local lake if they refuse to back off. Must've been a bathing accident.

Rasmus would only react on it if he noticed that MC would actually be interested in his rival. He has one or two tricks to securely rid himself of any competition.

It's kind of mixed.

Some more common monsters have very similar equivalents in Northern folklore, partly under different names, like for example some undead monsters from more popular folklore (thinking of Draugr, essentially viking zombies).

Or another example - one that you name actually - are werewolves (but they don't quite look like your standard pop culture werewolves). Even the devil has found his way into Swedish folklore, he is said to lend his powers to witches and mages in exchange for their souls among other things. :)

How do the Ros feel about receiving or giving love bites? 🫦

Small fail by me that I'm openly admitting to; I had to check if love bites and hickeys are the same lmfao. My poor non native brain.

It's no surprise that Mara would absolutely love them, no matter if giving or receiving. Her obsessive deeply caring heart would make backflips if MC honored them like this.

Orvar prefers to give love bites. They like to mark what's "theirs".

Saga really isn't into it, and she fears it'd disturb her professionalism if she had one; but if MC asks nicely, she will give them a love bite.

Felix is a lot like Saga in this matter; as a bank clerk, he has to look professional and he doesn't think a love bite would really fit. If it was somewhere else on his body where he could easily hide it, he'd be okay with it.

Nea only wants one if she can give you one, too!

Alda would wear a love bite with pride. <3 But she doesn't like giving them.

Ivar has the same opinion as Felix. Generally he likes love bites, but... he works at a preschool... think of the children and give him one at a spot he can easily cover up.

Rasmus would be up for it, no matter who gives who a love bite.
