First day back at work and I went all out!
8am - 5:30pm meetings and planning 6pm - 8 pm theatre practice Phew. Good thing I'm married to the greatest man there is! He welcomed me home with a great cooked meal and a glass of Pinot Noir to go with it. It made the day totally worth it. Night, tumblrinos!

Johan and I went for a walk in the woods today.
We brought fresh coffee and sat in the sun sipping from plastic traveler's mugs. It was super cozy and relaxed. Perfect recovery day activity! Happy Thursday, friends! :)

Weigh-in Wednesday: Last week - 74.5kg This week - 73.3kg 1.2kg down already! And I hardly did anything to deserve it, just went back to normal, sensible routines like drinking enough water and exercising. All in all I've done well with my goals. I've only been out for one run but I've also been at the gym and made sure to stay active every day. Let's see what this week has to bring!

Reasons why today was awesome:
1. I went for a very long walk even though it was raining. 2. I went to the gym for a class and worked my butt off and felt endorphine-awesome. 3. I hydrated like an amphibean. 4. Johan and I cuddled infront of the TV for the first time in months. We watched three episodes of BBC's Planet Earth series. Very awesome. So, I made the most of the day even though I got up so very late! (Thanks queenbliss for pointing that out this morning!) Now I'm off to bed. Be awesome, friends!

Aaaand done! Slowest 5k ever, but who cares. I haven't run this far since my race in May so this was a good thing. The biggest problem was that I ran at the stadium on the red sand thingie and kept getting stone pebbles lodged in the back of my shoes chafing my achilles tendon. I had to stop three times to scoop pebbles out of my shoes. Not so fun. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions on what to do about it? Now I'm off to shower and then theatre rehersal. I had plenty of water yesterday (check!) and ate well (oh, veggies, how I have missed you!) but I did not go for a walk in the woods since I was sick.
Still, I'm happy. Today I'm going for a run and a walk and then we're having friends over for games.

Good things about today:
I went for my walk in the woods (got 17,463 steps on my pedometer for the entire day)
I drank lots of water
I ate well (omelet, veggie soup, yum!)
Had lots of fun at the theater rehearsal (awesome people, awesome play!)
Cuddled with my hubby
Unpacked my bags after the trip
Crappy things about today:
I'm catching a cold and my throat feels like I've been yelling all day

Hey tumblr friends!
We're back from our vacation in Lisbon and it's time to get back to healthy living! I've been quite off balance this summer, not focusing much on weight loss. With the wedding, honeymoon and everything inbetween I'm not beating myself up about it.
Still, August 1st is here and it's time to get serious again.
Here's a summary of what I'm planning.
Every day I will:
Take a 5k walk in the woods (or walk the equivalent 12,000 steps)
Drink 1,5l water
Eat 3-4 meals a day following the itrim method (1 palm protein, 2 hands veggies, 1 hand potatoe/pasta/rice etc)
Blog about what I have/have not done that day
Every week I will:
Weigh in on Wednesday and post it here for accountability
Run at least 2,5k three times
Work out at the gym at least two times
For the next two weeks I'll cut out all alcohol and munching in-between meals.
Did I forget anything? I hope not.
Let's make August count! ;)
