Description: Soulmates… Aeun had not previously thought that soulmates were very important. But as she got older, her interest increased and she eagerly awaited her soulmate. I still think about him. I was the only person in my family who experienced this. This was so weird. How does this happen? Unfortunately, this was real. Kim Aeun's soulmate, who doesn't like wolves, was a wolf. I'm sure he'll be shocked too when he realizes his soulmate is a vampire. Maybe he wouldn't want me? What would I do then? I don't want to die early. I didn't want him to be a wolf, yes, but he is my soulmate. I have to love him, and I believe I can. I hope he likes me too.

While I was thinking, I started getting ready to go to the forest. Today I was going to try to find him by his smell, as my mother said. I didn't know what to do if I found him. What will I say? What should I do? I couldn't tell him all of a sudden. Should I try to be friends first? I laughed at this thought. A wolf will never befriend a vampire. Maybe for now I should just find out where he lives? I don't know when werewolves feel their soulmate. I hope he understands too, because if so, it would be easier for me to talk to him. After I put on my clothes, I took a few knives with me to protect myself from possible dangers. As I was putting on my shoes, I turned around at my mother's voice.

"Are you going?"

"Yes, mom. I'll try to find him."

"Just go into the forest and follow your feelings. You'll find him." My mom said with a smile.

I smiled at her and left the house. My steps were slow. I was afraid. I've never been this worried in my entire life. The things I felt were very strange. I wanted to go slowly into the forest. I don't know what to do when I see him. 

I kept walking and after a while I arrived in the forest. I took a deep breath and tried to feel him. I couldn't believe it. I really got his smell. It was soft and peaceful. This thought made me smile. I focused on him and kept walking. After an hour of walking, I suddenly stopped.

I saw a man painting with his graceful hands in the garden of a small house. His back was towards me, but I could feel it. My heart started beating fast. I was excited. I didn't know what to do, so I continued to watch him for a while.

Suddenly he put down his paintbrushes and turned. After looking at each other for a while, he stood up and began to speak. He looked annoyed.

"What's a vampire doing in my place?" He asked in a cold voice.

You were never normally a quiet person, but right now you couldn't speak.

He repeated.

"I'm telling you, vampire. What are you doing here? Are you looking for someone? Or are you here to kill someone?" He said looking at the knives on my waist.

I tried to talk.

"I-I... No. I'm not here to kill anyone." I cursed my voice.

"You?"

"I've lost my way." I cursed again myself for this stupid answer. Who would believe that?

He laughed sarcastically.

"Do you think I'm an idiot? How can a Kim clan's daughter lose her way?"

He knew me. This thought made my heart beat faster. Most people knew me, yes. But he was different.

"Do you know me?"

"Sure. The precious daughter of the Kim family." He said it sarcastically again.

"I don't know why you're here, but go now. I don't want to see your face anymore."

That arrogant voice made me angry. 

"You can't talk to me like that. Don't push your luck. Now get out of my way."

I started walking to go home.

"Don't you dare come here again. I may not be polite again." He said in a cold voice.

I laughed sarcastically and continued on my way.

I was about to cry.

This is not how I imagined my first meeting with my soulmate. My heart was broken. The moment I've been dreaming about for years was like shit. At first, I thought it would be really nice. Now I just felt sad. He didn't recognize me. Stupid wolf. How does he not feel about his mate? Even if he did, he certainly wouldn't want me, and I can't force him to. I couldn't stand it and started crying. Instead of walking, I ran quickly to get home early. I came home a few minutes later. I waited for them to open the door. Seeing that I was crying, Kyungsoo asked worriedly.

"What is the problem? What happened?"

I didn't answer, went inside and started to cry louder. I was both sad and angry.

My mom and Sehun, who heard my voice, came running to the room.

"What's going on?" Sehun said.

"I found him."

"So why are you crying? Did he hurt you?" My mother asked worriedly.

"No."

My mother hugged me and kissed my forehead.

"Calm down, baby."

"I found him, mom, and he will never want me."

"Why are you saying that? It's the first time you've seen him and you don't even know him."

"He is cold and rude. A goddamn wolf."

"You will be fine. He may seem so, but maybe he is a very nice person? You don't know this. You need to know him."

"I don't want to see him again. He didn't even speak to me properly. He said he didn't want to see me again.  How can I know him? He hates me."

"We don't get along well and he doesn't know you. That's why he was rude. Please don't be sad anymore. I'm sure he'll love you when he gets to know you." Kyungsoo said as if to comfort me.

Those words I heard made me feel a little better.

"How will I contact him?"

My mom thought for a while and began to speak.

"I'll make sure you work at the same place as him."

We all looked at my mother in surprise.

"How?" I asked.

My mother smiled and said.

"You'll see."

I slowly opened my eyes and looked around. I was in my room. The last time I was in the forest with my brothers and how did I get here? Or did I dream? What was going on?

I suddenly remembered.

I fell to the ground because of my heartache. I fainted afterwards. I don't know why this happened. It was my first time experiencing something like this. Fortunately, I'm fine now. I stopped thinking at the sound of Sehun's voice telling my mom that I was awake.

My mother immediately entered my room excitedly.

"You scared us so much honey." She gave me a big hug. Sehun too.

"We didn't know what to do when you suddenly fainted. We were so scared. Are you better now?" Sehun said in a worried voice.

"Yes, I'm better. Sorry for making you worry."

"What exactly happened to you?" My mom said.

"I don't know...All of a sudden my heart started to ache. Then I couldn't breathe."

While my mother was thinking, Kyungsoo came in with the food in his hand.

"Eat some food, noona. You must be hungry."

"Thank you, Kyungsoo."

"Are you better now? You scared us."

"Yes, I'm better."

I took the tray from his hand and started to eat. I was thirsty for both food and blood.

While I was eating, my mother started talking.

"Have you had anything but pain?"

"Her eyes turned red." Kyungsoo said.

"Where is your necklace?" My mother asked excitedly.

My necklace was not around my neck. I looked at my bed worriedly.

"Here it is." Sehun gave me the necklace.

I was very happy. My precious necklace.

My mother took a long look at my necklace.

"Did you see anyone in the forest?"

I thought. Werewolves. We saw werewolves.

"Yes, why?"

My mother continued to think.

"What's the problem mom?" Sehun asked.

My mother finally began to speak.

"Look at your necklace, your necklace is open and you suddenly fainted. Do you know what this means?"

I looked at my necklace. It was really opened.

I thought for a second. What did that mean?

This.

No.

"Congratulations honey, you've met your soulmate."

I was about to cry when I heard my mother's voice confirming my thought. Because the people we saw in the forest were none other than werewolves. I suddenly remembered. Wolf with brown hair and yellow eyes. My heart began to ache when we met eye to eye with him.

No.

This can not be.

I can't believe a wolf is my soulmate. I couldn't take it anymore and started to cry.

"No, no. This can not be!"

Sehun and Kyungsoo were looking at me confusedly because they understood what was going on too.

My mother asked in a worried voice.

"What was going on?" Why are you crying?"

I didn't answer and continued to cry.

"What's going on? You're worrying me."

"Her soulmate is a wolf." Kyungsoo said.

My mother looked at me with a shocked expression.

"What?"

"We only saw 3 people and they were all wolves."

"Mom, it must be a mistake. This is not possible." I asked with my crying voice.

My mother thought about it, and after a few minutes she began to speak.

"This is possible. Wolves may be the soulmate of vampires, although not so many. This has never happened before in our family. I'm very confused."

My heart broke when I heard this. I couldn't believe he was a wolf.

"Mom, no. There must be a mistake. It wasn't like this when Junmyeon met his soulmate. I said expectantly.

"I'm sorry, honey. Everyone's way of meeting is different. If you've only seen those people and they're all werewolves, your soulmate is a wolf.

I started to cry more.

Why did this happen? I've waited for him for years and now... I hoped my soulmate would be a vampire like my brother's soulmate. Or a human... But i would never have guessed that he would become a werewolf. What will I do? Vampires and werewolves don't usually have a good relationship. My family was one of the best vampire clans. Naturally, i was one of the well-known vampires. Everyone would be shocked.

"No, no. I do not accept a wolf as my mate." I said nervously.

Everyone in the room was very quiet and didn't know what to say.

"I know you are very surprised and upset. But you have to."

"No, I don't have to and I won't accept him."

"You have to feed on his blood, Aeun." My mother said, wanting to calm me down.

"I don't want to be fed. I don't need him." I said stubbornly.

"If you don't feed on his blood..." Sehun said worriedly.

"What happens if I don't feed?" 

"Your body will want more blood than ever before. His blood. If you don't feed on his blood, your body will get tired quickly and you'll lose your strength. And...This can go to death." My mother said sadly.

I was shocked and started crying louder.

"What am I going to do mom? I don't want that. Everyone will be shocked." 

"No one has to know that yet, honey. Even if they know, it's nobody's business. We do not choose our soulmate. Yes, we don't get along well with wolves, but that doesn't mean there aren't any good wolves."

This did not comfort me. What will I do? How will I find him again? Am I going to tell him he's my soulmate? How will I do?

"Mom, how will i find him again?"

"You can find him by his smell."

"I don't know his smell. How will I do?"

My mother smiled.

"You'll feel. Because now you know your soulmate."

"What if he doesn't want me?"

Seeing the worry on my face, my mother began to speak.

"Honey, you're a great person. Why wouldn't he want you? Yes, he might be surprised to find out that his soulmate is a vampire, but I'm sure he'll love you."

"There's no way he's not my soulmate, right?" I asked hopefully for the last time.

"Unfortunately."

I don't know what awaited me in the future, but I had to find him.

Chapter One

It was an ordinary winter day.I was watching the beauty outside the window. Everywhere was painted white. Children and their families were running around. I sipped my coffee and smiled. I love the snowfall. It makes me feel peaceful. Every time it snowed, I was happy like a little kid and running outside. So I'm waiting for Sehun to wake up. We should play snowball. I decided to wake Sehun and went to his room. I opened the door and went inside. This big baby was sleeping soundly. Unfortunately, he has to wake up and go out with his sister.

"Wake up, wake up and wake up." I shouted.

Didn't help. He was still sleeping. So I gave him a strong kick in the hip.

"Wake up and go out with your sister."

Finally, a voice came from him. He muttered in his sleepy voice.

"Go out with Kyungsoo hyung and leave me alone."

"Kyungsoo isn't at home right now. If he was at home, I would go out with him. My dear brother Kyungsoo, he would never say no to his noona." I said it in a fake sad voice.

No sound from Sehun.

Thinking he had fallen asleep again, i started talking again.

"You know I don't like going out alone. Do you want to offend your noona?" Again fake sad voice.

"Okay... I'll get up now."

I walked out of the room with a big smile on my face. I got dressed and waited for Sehun to come. After a few minutes, he left his room.

"Let's go."

I made an approving noise and put on my gloves. As soon as I got out, I took snow and started making snowballs. Sehun also went outside and started making snowballs like me.

"Snowball fight!"

"Snowball fight!"

We shouted at the same time.

After playing for a while, we saw Kyungsoo come home.

"What are you two doing in this cold?" He was looking at us with curious eyes.

"We went out because it was snowing."

"Yes, and how about going for a walk in the forest now?" Sehun suggested with a smiling face.

"Of course!"

"Of course!"

We smiled and started walking. We continued on our way, chatting. We always go to the forest with Sehun and Kyungsoo. It was nice to spend time with my little brothers. It was also nice to spend time with my big brother Junmyeon. I missed him. We haven't seen each other for a while since he moved to another town after getting married.

My thoughts were lost when I heard Kyungsoo's voice.

"You haven't taken off your necklace for a long time, noona."

I bought this necklace from a seller i love years ago. I bought two, not one. Because these necklaces were custom made necklaces for soulmates. I want to give the other to him. I got excited when I thought about it. I've been waiting for him for a long time. Some nights I sleep early to dream of him. I think about him all the time.

Unfortunately I still haven't met him. Thinking about it wiped my smile off my face. I got rid of my thoughts and replied.

"Yes, my soulmate necklace."

"When do you think you will meet him?" Sehun asked curiously.

"I don't know, Sehun. But I need to meet as soon as possible. I'm getting old and afraid of not finding him. What if I never find him?"

When they saw that I was upset, they started to comfort me.

"You're not getting old, you're young and you look younger than your age.Please don't be so negative. We will all meet our soulmate one day and we will have a wonderful life with them. You just have to wait for the right time." Kyungsoo spoke with a compassionate voice.

Sehun nodded.

"I hope the right time will come soon." I laughed. Sehun and Kyungsoo too. We talked for a while and continued walking. As we walked into the depths of the forest, we saw a few people coming ahead.

Werewolves.

They were werewolves.

Vampires and werewolves don't like each other.

And me too.

I don't like werewolves.

I don't like at all.

There were three of them and they were looking at us sternly. I came eye to eye with the wolf with brown hair and bright yellow eyes, who was looking around curiously. We gave each other the scariest looks. My heart suddenly started to ache. Of course, I didn't show it. But it felt like my heart was breaking into pieces. After my brothers gave him and his friends a terrifying look, we continued on our way.

Actually, we couldn't.

Because after a few minutes, my heartache got worse and unbearable. I felt like someone was stabbing a knife in my heart. I held my heart with one hand and Sehun's arm with the other. When Kyungsoo and Sehun saw me in pain, Sehun held my arm stronger.

"What's going on, noona? What is the problem?" Kyungsoo asked in a worried and frightened voice.

"I- I c-ant breathe." I said it with difficulty.

Just as I was trying to speak again, my eyes suddenly turned red and I fell to the ground.

Then, everything is dark.
