I recently read “Room for all Mysteries” by @myrmidryad :
It is a retelling of “The Green Knight.” I really enjoyed it, and reading it inspired me to keep working on my own Sir Gawain AU, “Loathly.” Loathly is based on “The Wedding of Sir Gawain and Dame Ragnelle,” and I am pleased to say that it now has a Chapter 10.
Please enjoy!

Wrote a little something for the first time in a while:
This will be a one-shot series (non-linear, kind of open ended). Something to just have fun with. Enjoy!

I haven’t had a lot of opportunities to read or write fic over the last few years, but I read this one last night and it won’t leave me alone. This is an EXCELLENT story - highly recommended.
Chapters: 9/9 Fandom: Roswell New Mexico (TV 2019) Rating: Mature Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Michael Guerin/Alex Manes Characters: Alex Manes, Michael Guerin, Isabel Evans | Isobel Evans, Kyle Valenti, Walt Sanders, Rosa Ortecho, Liz Ortecho Additional Tags: Bodyswap, Alien Biology, Alien Culture Summary:
They settled together, side by side. Michael picked up the piece. Alex remembered it: seemingly unbroken, shaped as if made to be held in two palms, dark. “It lit up?”
Michael nodded. “When you touched it. Next thing I knew, I was on the ground.”
Alex touched the piece. It was smooth. He laid more of his hand on it and overlapped Michael’s hand, which was warmer than the glass but cooler than he expected.
Nothing happened.

Surprise! I wrote a holiday fic that is 100% inspired by the “Snoasis” situation in which 60+ people got snowed in at a Yorkshire pub with an Oasis tribute band. Enjoy!

“Why does the dog have superpowers?”
“Why does the dog have superpowers?” Rosa looks flushed, frantic as she asks.
“He doesn’t,” Michael pants.
“He fucking flew out of the way when Jones brought down that tree!”
“That was me,” Michael says. “It was me, getting him out of the way. But… but I think you’re onto something.” He kneels next to Lucky. “He’s still, still so out of it, and Kyle says there’s no physical explanation for it.”
Rosa purses her lips. Leans down to stroke Lucky. “Michael,” she whispers suddenly. “A handprint. It’s faint, but…”
Michael leans closer. “You’re right,” he murmurs, placing his own hand over the print. It’s similar in size. “Jones… he must have healed him at some point. And if Lucky’s struggling now? And this print is visible?”
“Then it’s like Liz. With Max,” Rosa breathes. “She, she thought she was having a heart attack when he healed Kyle.”
“So Jones, he must be healing someone now. Big power drain. And if Lucky’s affected…”
Rosa’s eyes widen. “So’s Max.”

“How many secret organizations that know about aliens are there?!”
“How many secret organizations that know about aliens are there?”
“Well,” Isobel says, “Project Shepherd. This ‘Deep Sky’ nonsense,” she adds, dismissively, and Alex frowns. Michael notices.
“X-Files,” Michael says quickly.
Isobel turns to face him. “You know that’s not real.”
“Yeah, but what if it was? Could change the game a little, right?” He smirks at her. “X-Files era Duchovny and Gillian Anderson poking around?” He sees Alex roll his eyes. “Might not be all bad.”
And to his relief, Isobel smiles too. “Mmm, I want to believe.”

“You are the least subtle person I’ve ever met”
“You are the least subtle person I’ve ever met.”
Michael’s eyes widen. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
Alex shakes his head. “Forget it.”
Michael reaches out, as if to touch Alex’s arm. Seems to remember himself and withdraws his hand quickly, shoves it in his pocket. “No, seriously, tell me.” He looks at Alex expectantly, eyes flashing, and Alex can do nothing but sigh.
“It’s just… we’re supposed to be blending in, and you’ve already gotten a drink with the Governor’s daughter.”
“Hey, she approached me, was I supposed to just…” Michael’s eyes narrow. “Wait. Are you jealous?”
“No,” Alex says quickly. “No,” he repeats, unconvincingly. “I… I get it, you know? You, like this. With… with the suit and the hair and the… Fuck,” he mutters, champagne flute in a death grip. “It’s just that we have one shot at this. Ramos says the sculpture, the one made of the… alienized turquoise? It’s in the master bedroom. And I thought we’d just get in, get out…”
Michale scoffs a bit. “Bet you did.”
There’s a tension between them, but it breaks when Alex hangs his head. “Okay I was a little jealous, alright? She looked ready to… to eat you.”
“Oh she was,” Michael says, gesturing at the Governor’s daughter. “Till I told her I was here with my partner.”
Alex’s eyes go wide. “You what?”
“Yup,” Michael says, threading his arm through Alex’s and walking them toward an exit. Alex sees the Governor’s daughter looking at them, sees Michael wink at her and her smile in return.
“Oh my god.”
“Yeah,” Michael whispers. “And turns out your intel’s not perfect. Sadie liked the sculpture so much that her dad put it in the guest bedroom she uses when she’s in town.” He smirks, adjusts Alex’s tie. “So let’s go.”
He pauses, then, seems to consider something. “And, um, for the record, Alex?” he says, looking him up and down. “Nothin’ subtle about you, either. Not to me.”
