Ancient creatures of the Airfleet Universe: Atlantoraptor kurtzi (Kurtz's Atlantean Raptor)

First discovered in the deserts of Duna in 1977, Atlantoraptor kurtzi was first described in the publications of the Journal of Paleontology in June 1978. Around 10 feet in length, based on the holotype named 'Bessy,' A. kurtzi is believed to be among the largest species of Dromaeosaurs to ever exist on Earth. They are also the only known species of Dromaeosaur discovered on this planet Earth with preserved evidence of feathers.

A. kurtzi was a pack hunter, forming alliances of convenience with fellow Atlantoraptors for personal benefit. Generally, it is believed that their plumage served some kind of disruptive camouflage purpose as well as being typical of dromaeosauridae. They were native to the jungles of mid to late Cretaceous Period Duna, around 92-67 million years ago.

Coming up with a funny race of diminutive bird-aliens whose language is actually a different dialect for every emotion, can overload duotronic-based universal translators, and worship Sulu as a god. They're just funny guys.

One of my favourite things about the aftermath of Phantom Liberty is that the Cyberpunk fanbase has just run with the idea that Blackwall weapons are essentially the Cyberpunk equivalent of Daedric artefacts. To be fair, the difference between Daedra and the Blackwall is that one's magic, and the other's technological, both are horrors beyond human comprehension, manipulating the moral realms of Man on the daily.

Thanks to those who have stuck with me as I switch over to Star Trek as my current special interest.

I will still be posting Cyberpunk content, but more infrequently. I need a break from seeing the seeds of the cyberpunk dystopia I played religiously for four years germinate before my very eyes and wanted to focus on something more hopeful for the future.
