Will and El Wonder Twins headcanons? :D

Will and El are weirdly in-tune. They have that freaky telepathic-link vibe going. Everyone else is creeped out.

They have sleepovers where they try and fail to teach each other skills, Will the punk-rocker is forced to listen to El's Madonna and pop girlies, and El bugs him about his feelings for Mike. At one point, they have an argument over whether or not Mike is a good kisser - it's hella weird but they both start cracking up.

Literally everyone they meet thinks they're related. Hell, half the Party is convinced Will has powers because he and El are actually twins who were separated at birth.

Neither of them can drive. They bother Jonathan to take them places. He loves them but wants to scream.

Speaking of Jonathan wanting to scream, he's so lovingly tired of them ganging up on him to get him to do things. He adores his little siblings. He wants to bang his head against the wall. Instead he hugs them.

Oh I have so many lol.

Dustin plays up his goofball-ness in the future to get everyone else to smile.

Dustin and Lucas used to hang out half out of spite because they were annoyed at Will and Mike having solo hangouts - and then they found out they actually liked hanging out with each other.

Dustin's secretly a dog person, he just doesn't want to tell his mother, the renowned cat lady.

Mike thought that he liked Dustin and Lucas less than he should have when he was younger because he loved Will 'more' - he later realizes this is just because he loved Will differently but loved all his friends the same

El and Mike later become catty besties. The weird girl and her snarky gay ex-boyfriend are at the bar and they hate your vibe lol

Max and Will and Mike are secretly very sweet and content best friends in private. In public? Mike and Max are at each other's throats and Will points out that they're literally arguing even though they 100% agree with each other.

All of them become a bit of anarchists after Glimmer and ST and the government's BS.

Will draws on all his friends' skin because it calms him down. All of them love it.

What are some things that Mike, Dustin, and Lucas do to help will through his PTSD? I love the friendship between all of them

They let Will draw on him - it helps when he gets panicky, and they all walk around with his paintings on their arms and hands and such. Eventually, some of the Party get them tattooed (if you see Will cry when he finds out, no you fucking didn't)

All of them are very fine-tuned to Will's needs and back off when he's stressed or PTSD-y and come closer when he wants to isolate himself.

On nights when the nightmares are bad, they all pretty much just puppy-pile on the carpet of Max's bedroom and sleep pressed together for comfort.

Can you talk about the future of Mike and wills relationship. I’m curious how Mike helps Will through his trauma and ptsd whether it’s from torure, SA, his injuries, etc.

Absolutely!!!

*SPOILERS AHEAD*

After the War of Hawkins ends, they all relocate to Chicago and start going to school there. Because Mike lost his parents, he lives with Will and his family along with the other orphans (whom I cannot disclose yet lol), and they share a bedroom.

Most afternoons are spent there, just laying together doing homework or with Will drawing and Mike happily watching him, but they also frequently play D&D with the rest of the Party and go watch TV.

They become all but attached at the hip - they spend practically every waking moment together, and Max and El usually intervene to drag them apart for a few hours for 'girl time' (usually involving Max and Will and El hanging out at the mall or Max and El bothering Mike until he gives up and lets them mess with him by doing his makeup and such.)

Both of them have the habit of waking up screaming from nightmares. They also have the habit of comforting the other from these nightmares and develop a routine revolving around music, TV, and cuddling.

When they have panic attacks, the other brings them to a safe, quiet place wherever they can find one and helps them through.

Will taps Mike twice on the shoulder when he doesn't want to be touched but doesn't have the energy to say so - Mike respects this and backs off, the same as he does when Will says no.

Eventually, Mike knows everything, including about the SAs and torture and everything. It makes him emotional and angry, but it also makes him even more overprotective and enchanted with Will, and he's particularly gentle with him after knowing.

Both of them end up disabled. They bring each other food and necessities on bad days and go for ice cream on good days.

Mike and Will's service dog are besties.

outfits mike would wear?? ive seen quite a few for will when scrolling but i wanna draw them both 😋

Hm... while I can't quite find inspiration, I think he ends up rocking a very punk-ish look, particularly in Glimmer 2. He'd definitely wear a leather jacket and combat boots with a T-shirt and jeans normally, but on days when *SPOILERS* he misses the days where his mom would buy him clothes or just misses his mom and dad in general, he wears a button-up shirt like she used to give him to wear. He also rarely wears shorts because he's insecure about *SPOILERS* something that happens to his leg in the last few chapters (DM me for details.)

When it comes to his punk-ish style, it's in large part because he becomes very anti-establishment. In Glimmer 2, they end up moving to Chicago - in the late 80s, AKA during ACT UP and a lot of AIDS activism - and as a young gay man who's seen a lot of violence by the government and has had both people he loves and himself harmed by the government, he becomes extremely anti-government and a bit of an anarchist. As a result, he wears a leather jacket with pins and patches with activism slogans - while he's nervous and rarely wears it when he's younger, the first time he goes to a gay club in Glimmer 2, he realizes that he wants to be visibly queer and visibly who he is and wears it a lot. (He's a bit afraid sometimes because homophobia, but he carries a knife in his pocket as a comfort object to cope with the PTSD and anxiety, and he feels comforted by the knowledge that he can protect himself if anyone tries to mess with him.) While Will teases him a bit when Mike wears the jacket in ninety-degree heat, especially as someone who ends up preferring a lot of softer clothes and pastels, and their friends joke that they look like they're out of 'Grease,' he's very supportive.

I can't quite find pictures, but basically, a standard outfit for sixteen- and seventeen-year-old Mike:

Black platform combat boots/Doc Martens with purple laces (usually untied)

His leather jacket, oversized and covered in patches - including but not limited to a small pink triangle, a patch saying 'If I Die, Drop My Body At the Steps of the CDC,' a button with a crossed-out cross, and pins saying 'Smash The State,' 'One Solution: Revolution,' and 'Fall In Love, Not In Line.'
