el is such an interesting, multi-faceted, rich character that is coincidentally adorable and morally ambiguous. She died for her friends after 1 week of knowing them because that’s what friends do. She rejects the man who (albeit cruelly) raised her for her entire life for her friends. She goes to places so dark they kill others, for her friends. This is the girl who was held a stuffed tiger close to her every night. The girl who is raised to be a weapon, but is anything but. At the tender age of 12 she carries the world on her shoulders and the hearts of everyone in it. Yet she still cries when she’s called pretty. She cries when her friends fight, she blames herself for their troubles and the thought of blaming others has never crossed her mind (though Brenner deserves it). Eleven is precious and selfless and beautiful and kind, and I love her more than I love most things.
