The last time I can remember finishing a drawing of this kid was… last February? So- redesign time!

I didn’t change much but in all fairness Artemis is a fairly simple design. His eyes are a more purple-ish blue to match how I see Angeline’s, and I gave him a signet ring. That just feels like something the Fowls would have?

If I had a nickel for every book about a smart 12-year-old using Santa Claus technology, with tech-elf side characters, mentally ill mother figures, dead dads, themes of loss, and magic ex machina taking place at Christmas time and written by Eoin Colfer, I'd have two nickels.

And somehow the books are foils of each other. Artemis would 100% be Juniper's nemesis if they lived in the same universe. Love that, love them.

This is the piece I made for Eoin Colfer last week. I had only a short time to finish it, but I like how it turned out: I like the texture of ballpoint pen.

Thank you all for your suggestions of what to draw! I ultimately went with @karlyanalora's suggestion of a book scene I enjoy, as well as many of you suggesting I draw Holly.
