Incident #567 Feliciaen Apexion

Captain [Ithak ] Odys Laertiad of ITHACA-65 had been called for a council that took place on MYRMIDON-76, the vessel under the name of Captain [Human] Achilles Pelid. He was called to be there early, at 07:30 of universal time. Odys accepted the invite.

He shouldn't, really.

He had gotten ready, got his environmental suit, to make his stay at MYRMIDON-76 more comfortable, even though the universal atmosphere in the general spaces of the vessel was survivable for his species. The pressure not too light, not too heavy; the Gravity did not weight him down too much; temperature was comfortable too. Yet, he still put on his sut, as it was more comfortable for him that way.

He walked through the corridor that connected the docked MYRMIDON-76 to the main base of ACHAEA [Advanced Coalition for Harmonious Alien Empires and Alliances], he walked through the first Airlock, then the second one, and soon he had entered the main area of the vessel, his steps clanking on the metal floor. One of his ears picked up on a sound, the noise echoing through the halls.

"ˈmʌfɪn" - He heard a yell, in one of those Human tongues, that seemed endless. His heard turned to the sound, and soon he saw Achilles Pelid, in all their glory, chasing something.

Which would not be that unusual, if not for the thing he was chasing. When Odys looked down, he felt his heart skip a beat, he saw the greenest fur possible, red and yellow stripes warning of the instant danger. He saw those fangs that dripped down acid, that sizzled on the metal floor. He saw those claws, those razor sharp claws that left scratch marks in the solid floor. The glowy antenae at its head. Feliciaen Apexion.

"MUFFIN!" Achilles yelled out again, Odys's translator now catching what the Human had said. Odys shifted his shoulders in confusion, his tail shifting on the floor.

Muffin?

Odys thought that strange, why would someone call a Class 7 Deathworlder, a "Muffin"? Then all of his 4 eyes widened, his tail tucking close to him, his arms folding close to his chest in defensive position. Why was a Feliciaen Apexion on loose? And why was Human chasing it, with no protection other than his Thermosuit, and his Oxygen restoration equipment. He looked around, looking for affirmation that he was not hallucinating. He catched the eyes of a [Skyriod] Automedon Diorid, young man barely out of his adolescence, and the Skyriod looked at him, the MYRMIDON green harness of his armour glistened under the lights.

The Skyriod only shook his head, just as horrified as Odys was. Achilles in the meantime managed to catch the Feliciaen Apexion, his mouth open wide, revealing his teeth in what Humans called a "smile"

"Muffin!" He said, running one of his gloved hands on the fur of the Feliciaen Apexion, "I told you to stop running away!" He added, just as the Arilock doorwas opened from the MYRMIDON-76 Dormitories, and [Human] Patroclus Menoitiad, Achilles's life-mate entered.

Odys noticed that Patroclus looked exasperated when he saw Achilles, sitting on the floor crossleged, the Feliciaen Apexion in his lap"Achilles" Patroclus said, his tone dropping low, "What do you have there"

"..a Kitty" Achilles responded, tilting his head slightly.

Patroclus only slid his hand over his own face, a gesture that later research proved to be a mix between dissapointment, exasperation and annoyance.

"Achilles, that is not a kitty"

"But Beloved! Its friend shaped!" Achilles tried to defend themselves.

Odys decided it is time to intervene, afterall, they couldnt have a Feliciaen Apexion running wild around MYRMIDON-76, with the threat of it possibly damaging the vessel, or worse, managing to get into the Base of ACHAEA and causing further mayhem there - one that is not necessary, considering [Pelopei] Agamemnon and Menelaos, were spending most of their times in the common rooms of the base these days.

"Captain Achilles" He interrupted, with his head bowed slightly, and tail swishing behind him lazely, "I'm afraid, but i believe Human Patroclus to be the one correct in this situation"

Achilles frowned at Odys, his brows furrowing in displeasure.

"With all due respect, Captain Odys, that is between me and my husband" He said and shooed him away with a wave of his hand.

Automedon chuckled, and Odys had nothing left to do but to back out, watching as Achilles and Patroclus spoke something in their mother tongue, and Odys did the smart thing to turn of his Translator momentarily, for just the next moment Patroclus turned red, and Odys almost called for medbay. And he would have, if not for the laugh Patroclus released a moment later, shaking his head.Achilles then smiled and got up, holding the squirming, and a bit confused Feliciaen Apexion in his arms, cradling it close against his chest.

And Odys did not need a translator to understand that this creaturew as there to stay now.

And stay it did.

Achilles carried the Feliciaen Apexion everywhere, affectionally calling it "Muffin". And the Feliciaen Apexion? Well, it didnt seem to mind the attention, often caught snoring, cuddled and wrapped around Achilles's neck like a toxic and dangerous shawl.

Patroclus took liking to Muffin too, holding it close, rubbing his fingers through the green fur when he was found sprawled around in one of the couches in the common room of the MYRMIDON-76, and the "Muffin", as it turned out, could Purr.

Much to displeasure of the mated couple, Muffin could not sleep with them in their dormroom, as the Human dorm room is considered Hazardous and Toxic to most species, practically inhabitable, the air too hot, too humid, the gravity too strong, the pressure too heavy, the atmosphere overfilled with Oxygen, H2O in open and unshielded containers.

And so the Muffin found itself sleeping curled up on the soft bed set infront of the first of the 3 Airlocks that lead to the Human dormitory.And if the resto of MYRMIDON-76 crew grew fond of the green, dangerous "kitty"?, well they are glad it turned out it was Trainable, for there was no way Achilles would ever let go of it, now that they've gotten attached.

Orpheus was an Argonaut, and Argonauts are the generation before the Trojan War Heroes. (Like Peleus, who is also an argonaut, was the father of Achilles, who is a major character in the Trojan War)

Orpheus, heading in the same direction: come on just keep making up shit to sing about until we get to Euridice come on we can do this

Achilles, sitting on the ground with pat watching it all unfold: wow imagine coming down here to get your lover back

Patroclus: didn't you try to get yourself killed to reunite with me again.
