Okay so break down:

In the early years of Xiaoxing’s first school year, between when he’s 4 to 5 (so 25 human years) Shadowpeach had a “will they will they not” phase that was so obvious to everyone, yet some single parents (and some married) tried to shoot their shot by gauging how close the monkeys were, and them being stubborn were like "yeah who would want to be with this guy🙄💅"

Which is how Macaque ended up in the awkward conversation with some rich ladies insinuating wanting to be with Wukong and he's like🧍

So he takes it out on Wukong the next day, yet that backfired because they're down bad😭😭😭

Smaller lore: I do hc that wukong grew up wanting to one day have a fam but after so many things and having seen the world he became hesitant on that dream, so by the time past macaque asked his thoughts he was adamant on not having children,,, which is why Macaque is even more surprised in these panels because Wukong didn't out right refuse the idea because he wouldn't mind having more if it was with macaque😭😭😭

In the New Past AU would Tang still be obsessed with JTTW? And would MK be featured in the JTTW book since he hangs around with the pilgrims at times? (If yes would that mean Tang would think MK is super cool at least at first lol)

It wouldn't be Tang if he's not obssessed with JTTW😔 (to answer: yes he's still obssessed with it and also about the royal monkey family) And to MK surprised, he is in fact mentioned and talk about in the book!!

The book now talk about the Prince of Flower fruit Mountain, Qi Xiaotian, who would often accompanied the Monkey King during his Journey to the West. So yes, Tang do find him very cool and would ask him a million question when he would learn MK is Qi Xiaotian. Because when MK go around Megapolis in the Present era, he's disguised with glamour and shapeshifting as a human and goes by the name MK. So when he first talk to Tang and Pigsy, they have no idea he's the prince of FFM✨
