Soundwave, the Decepticon spy and communications officer, is recommended to represent the Hermit as he demonstrates a vigilant, observant, and very silent attitude in the series, being in charge of not only maintaining the information handled by the Decepticons but also the one who silently kept the secrets of those he listened to. It was he who revealed to Megatron about Starscream's betrayal when Starscream snatched the dark energon fragment from Megatron chest so that he would die and thus remain with the throne.
