We like to think we’ve moved on. that if we’ve stopped thinking about them during the day, we’ve won, and once we walk away, we’ve left it behind for good.

But …

the heart isn’t a machine.

it doesn’t work on logic or commands. it doesn’t erase people just because we’ve decided it’s time. it remembers…

The Other Side of Family

I feel family is overrated.

People keep saying family is the most important, family will always be there for you...

But is that really true?

It's only half the truth.

What if your family abused you?

What if they insult for no good reason?

Comparing you because of what?

What if they never listen to you?

Always assuming something about you like they know you better?

Never wanting to hear what you want to say?

Always misunderstanding you?

What happened to that type of family?

The family that stunts your growth.

The family that hurts you.

The family that doesn't let you explain your choice of... most things?

The family that almost never tries to understand you.

Family isn't always good.

They might be okay...

Or great...

But sometimes...

You need to leave your roots to fully prosper.
