Rachel was one of Percy's closest friends until she became friends with Annabeth and they almost stopped talking.

Piper thought Percy was an idiot before they met, she heard about him from Annabeth.

Rayna thought Percy was smart and even wanted him to be a Pretor, but after one conversation with Annabeth, she decided he couldn't get out of a paper bag without help.

Annabeth's mortal friends Dave and Hannah don't even know Percy, but they think he's stupid and Annabeth is too good for him.
