Linkin Park's event will finally happen on Thursday September 5 @ 3pm PST (6pm EST).
The purple screenshot is an image that was flashed one minute before the timer ended at the 100 hour mark. Looks like a teaser for a music video with Mike Shinoda. We will have answers soon enough!
I am here to spread rumors and theories because I am impatient and must know everything before Linkin Park's announcement/event on September 5. Please do not take my post as fact. Just speculation.
Ever since that supposed "leak" on a now deleted Reddit post about the new singer for Linkin Park being named Emily, fans have discovered that Emily Armstrong from the band Dead Sara is the biggest denominator in LP's circle on Instagram. Her band is signed with Warner, just like LP.
She mutually follows Joe Hahn, Anna Shinoda, and Mike Shinoda until Mike unfollowed her 🤔. She also follows Phoenix. Some people in LP's team who follow her are Adam Ruehmer and Toby Fance.
The earliest photo that she liked on Mike's page is from September 2018 right before he started his solo US tour.
The last thing Mike liked on Emily's page was from January. The photo's caption says she hopes to make herself proud in 2024. 🤔 Also, she seems to have nuked 95% of her Instagram page, so that is all the info I was able to gather.
People who worship a tribute band to the point where they publicly admit on social media that they would rather pay LP-like ticket prices to watch them live over the actual Linkin Park with a hypothetical female singer is actually a seriously deranged way of thinking.
Just admit you're a fan of Chester cosplayers than of the actual band who spent 20 years writing that material.
Whining about no new material from a band with no new (confirmed) lead singer is craaazyyy.
Also, the video for Friendly Fire is not AI. Wtf. It's live footage with Chester in the studio. ?????
The whole thing with Papercuts feels like Warner music is trying to use Chester's corpse to sell merch. Let the man rest. Qwerty slaps but maaaaaan just let Linkin Park make new music.
It just feels like they forgot they made High Voltage y'know? What happened to that???
