I find it so interesting that Andrew uses deals and promises as a way to guarantee people won’t leave him, but from what we see he has only ever struck deals with people he doesn’t really need to worry about leaving him.

He strikes a deal with Aaron, makes himself necessary to Aaron’s safety while also isolating him as much as he can so he will always stay; but does he know Aaron has fought Tilda to get him home? Does he know Aaron went by himself to the police to make sure Andrew got his information? Does he know Aaron was going to try again like cass told him had Andrew not gone to juvie? Does he know Aaron says the worst day of his life was finding out about Andrew?

He makes a deal with Kevin, makes himself his built in bodyguard and not letting him by himself even when it means waking up when he wants to sleep just to drive Kevin 15 minutes to the stadium; but does he not remember that Kevin fought Riko to sign him? Does he forget Kevin flew out to see him, and when Andrew turned him away Kevin moped around about it? Does he not see how for months Kevin doesn’t give up on Andrew bettering himself and trying to help Andrew help himself?

He makes his deal with Neil after realizing he might lose him if he doesn’t, he offers him anything Neil might want, sits down to logically convince him by making Neil understand what moves the Moriyamas can or can’t make against Neil, and repeatedly reassures Neil he is safe whenever he starts to panic; but does he not see how Neil looks at him? Does he not realize when Neil chooses to spend hours at the back of a bus with him rather than celebrating a win w the team, and even fights Kevin on it? Did he not hear Neil when he told him he went to the Nest over the holidays to keep Andrew safe during his recovery? Does he not see Neil went silently to his death because the risk of saying something was too great?
