victory was in his blood, as a Lannister he had been molded by his father’s hands to achieve it. it’s funny how quickly that could change. lannister .stark. despite the house these men fought for, in the end when death came, a corpse was a corpse. gold did not matter here, for what was gold to a man dying of thirst in a desert. but now he questioned victory. THIS victory, after a tremendous loss of life could one still call this victory? even if the enemy met their defeat?

The bodies had to be burned, no hole large enough could be dug in time to put these men at rest. and for the first time in his life, Jaime Lannister remained after the battle. stepping out of the role of commander to help the men bury the dead.
