No, Buzzfeed, they are NOT perfect. The fact that you have such love for the Kardashians does not mean everything they do or say is perfect. And the fact that I do not, doesn't mean I believe everything they do is selfish, stupid or annoying, I am mature enough to admit that Kim Kardashian is a brilliant player in the sex game controlling the world, by building her empire, that Kendall is a beautiful woman and a great model and that the mother (whose name right now I do not recall) is just... Unbelievable. That being said, there's my opinion, and, according to her I have the freedom to say it because she empowered me by getting naked. The problem, as I see it is not that she posted a naked selfie or that she is so proud to be the person she is, I mean, according to her, "we've seen her naked 500 times" (maybe her husband, every guys she's ever had sex with and everyone who saw her sex tape, because I, have never seen her naked and don't want to either, the only "naked" I've seen her is that exact selfie). The problem is that she believes that empowering women is all about doing what you want and that is wrong, while everyone should be free to do what they feel like doing, there are certain limits to be followed, one of them is common sense, another is respect and another is decency (not because a naked body, male or female is disgusting, but because not everyone want to see your naked body. Let's see, teenage pregnancy is an issue worldwide because PEOPLE DO WHATEVER THEY WANT, homicide is an issue because PEOPLE DO WHAT THEY WANT, and the list goes on. Empowering women isn't about being naked is about building something worth sharing, worth following, is about shutting people down because you are a woman and they said you couldn't do it but you did it. Is about shutting you boss that pays you less finding a new job or creating your own company, is about inspiring people. And I want to prove mi point that being a powerful woman has nothing to do with being naked by saying: I, as a woman, feel so empowered by the fact that J.K. Rowling, a woman, is one of the most influential people in the world, created an empire not with her body but with her imagination AND she didn't all by herself. I have nothing against naked selfies, I have taken them more than once and I am not ashamed, most times I just delete them because if I want to see my naked body, I walk to the mirror naked. I do not post them on social media and I am not against her doing that on her profiles, because she can do it and feels comfortable doing it, but I am against, I repeat, believing that naked selfies, naked walks or naked whatever is a way to empower people, because it is not. A naked body is as natural and beautiful as a tree and I do not see anyone posting photos of trees to empower nature.
