About the FFXIV character model updates

Curious what people's feelings are for the new character model updates in the Dawntrail benchmark client. YOUR character specifically. I've been seeing a mix of opinions so far.

Found those Hades turnarounds I mentioned a while ago, or rather, Creative Uncut did earlier this month. (Great site btw, check it out if you love concept art.) This stuff wasn’t even in the artbook, so I’m glad they turned up.

Official artwork of Hades from the Shadowbringers artbook. I dunno if people generally get as excited for concept art as I do, but hopefully it can at least be nice drawing reference for folks. I really enjoy the model sheets for the arms, I wish the artbook had turnarounds for his second form though, I know I’ve seen them somewhere before.

Even more concept art of Shadowbringers: This time it’s Amaurot (the dungeon) and the Dying Gasp.

Looking at all this artwork really does remind me of how both mystifying the whole climax of Shadowbringers was, I remember being really grumpy I was still being made to do fetch quests after all that stuff on Mt. Gulg happened, then they threw the entire Amaurot segment at me and I was immediately invested again.

Some of my favorite Emet-Selch quotes. Not really sure why the FFXIV community overlooks them so often, guess they’re just less memorable than his bossfight dialogue and stuff. Regardless, the writing/localization is always on point with this guy.

More Shadowbringers official concept art: The phantom city of Amaurot, and Akadaemia Anyder dungeon.

Wish we got to see inside more Amaurotine buildings, the giant sprawling lobbies and hallways were cool, but I’d love to see what their residences looked actually looked like. On another note, the two different sized figures for scale (one for the ancients, one for the players) in some of the images are absolutely killing me for some reason.
