“Mirando hacia otro lado”. 

Es un pequeño trabajo que hice sobre el concepto de “ciudad”. Para mí, la ciudad, mi ciudad, puede ser un sitio maravilloso. Precioso. Colorido. Verde. Alegre. Pero también puede ser un sitio sucio, hostil y desagradable. 

En el vídeo quería utilizar dos vías de narración diferenciadas. La imagen y el sonido. En la imagen se vería esa primera parte bella de la ciudad. En el sonido, se escucharía esa parte más sórdida y negativa. Utilizando para ello sonidos de archivo de un caso de acoso sexual que fue noticia hace unos años, y su repercusión en el futuro cercano. 

Es un vídeo sencillo, hecho con mi canon 600D y también con alguna imagen tomada con mi teléfono móvil, un BQ Aquaris M5.

“Looking away”. 

It is a short film I made about the concept of “town”. In this case, my hometown. To me, the place where you are born can be a wonderful, precious and colorful place. But it can also be a dirty, hostile space. 

So I wanted to use two different levels of narration. On one hand, we have images of the city, representing the beauty of it. On the other hand, we hear the worst part of it. In this particular case, the worst part it is represented with short news about a case of sexual harassment that took place a few years ago in that same town. 

It is a very simple film. I shot it with my canon 600D and also some images were taken with my phone (BQ Aquaris M5).

Hoy quería traeros algo en color y también alguna foto de mis vacaciones de Navidad. Pero al final me he decantado por esa foto, ya que mis favoritas de Navidad eran todas en blanco y negro... y realmente me apetecía traeros algo de color. 

El 2017 empieza con alguna que otra cosa encima de la mesa, a ver qué depara al final.

Today I was hoping to share with you a picture from my Christmas holidays, but also I expected it to be in color. Unfortunately, my favorites were taken in black and white...and I really felt like sharing a colorful pic. So I just decided to upload this one. I took it back in Spring. 

2017 started with a few things to work on, so we’ll see what it comes up with.

¡Hola!

¿Cómo va todo? Esta vez os traigo una foto muy reciente, de la celebración de Halloween. Entre las clases, huidas a mi tierra y por qué no decirlo, la ajetreada y ocupada vida de Madrid... no estoy nada pendiente de subir cosas aquí. Todavía me estoy acostumbrando a no tener sitio en las salas de cine, en los bares, al ritmo frenético... Todo lleva su tiempo, pero estoy muy contenta. 

Tengo unas cuantas cosas para ir subiendo, por lo que cuando vaya teniendo más tiempo iré subiendo.

Hi there! How is everything going? Today I wanted to share with you a picture from a Halloween party. I’m still getting used to Madrid so I totally forget to post these days. It is going to take me a while to feel comfortable with going to the cinema and not having one single seat available or going to a bar with no more space for me and my friends... But eventually, I will. It is a great city.

I’m really busy lately, that’s the reason why I haven’t uploaded anything. I took this picture in my first week living in Madrid. It was taken in the Retiro Park.
