I like the word “witchery” because of its linguistic similarity to “fuckery.” Witchcraft is fuckery; fuckery is witchcraft. They are inextricably connected in my mind and it makes me happy.

A practice is something you built, it’s very organic like an ecosystem of rituals, knowledge, words, material objects, ressources. Like the branches of a tree it sometimes dies and sometimes branches out, you builds more in one direction or choose to work more in another one. Even if you feel like you are stagnating in your practice, or you don’t know what direction to choose, you have to start somewhere. And with time you build your practice like the gardener maintains their garden.

Out of context lesson: whether it's semen or rosemary essential oil, cups is probably not the right unit of measure.
#i already had this screen shot in my folder#i dont go here but semen cup was too much coincidence to not share with the tumbles

we have got to be less nice about astrology. we got people out here being emotionally immature and terrible at navigating interpersonal relationships and blaming the stars. the stars didn't do nothing to you, learn to hold yourself and others accountable for their actions and just try to do better and stop incorporating "people are who they are as fated by birth" into your beliefs even casually everyone has agency

Witchcraft vocabulary I’m surprised is still used in 2025:
- Witchy
- Magick
- Energy
- Karma
- The Goddess™️
- G slur
- Baby witch
#i am also mad about the use of karma. not because i dont think people should but because people are physically incapable of using it right#if you do not believe in reincarnation you do not believe in karma. karma is fufilled in your next lifetime. not in an hour in front of CVS#no reincarnation? no karma#the word you people are looking for is consequences#maybe cosmic debt

Me: Being condescending towards beginner witches isn't going to help anyone, we've all made mistakes and acting like we haven't and know everything is dumb

how to organize your altar

this is just one of the many ways to organize an altar, there is no one specific way of setting up your sacred space this is just an example of an altar to inspire or to reference

@teawitch I definitely think it is, the chandelier is kind of just an amorphous blob, there are little shadow-nothings in corners here and there, and the trees in the window VS the hillside look like radically different biomes

Chopsticks cant be stuck straight up in things. It's probably a cultural thing, I know a lot of people in Japan have the same etiquette. But grandma REALLY would not let any of us do it as kids and told us it was serious bad luck to do. Still cant do it or let anyone I'm eating with do it
I have a fun little discussion topic. What superstition or tiny rule are you ride or die for? For me i am a STICKLER to clockwise to create counterclockwise to destroy in my own practice

Regular button mushrooms I use in food/kitchen witchcraft as a "prolific" boost. Like if a stew/sauce is meant to be for prosperity, the mushrooms boost it to "prolific prosperity."
All mushrooms are good for grounding (mushroom tea honestly doesnt taste great but it is good for when I need to level down).
Shitake mushrooms I use for inspiration and determination. Grandma used to make us sukiyaki (a kind of Japanese hot pot) when we were having writers block/having trouble with inspiration, and it was always chock full of shiitakes
hi mama brie, what are some examples of mushrooms being used for magickal purposes besides fairy work? i've been searching for ages for something but can't find much. xx
You know, I'm not sure. I don't use mushrooms much myself except in cooking.
Mushroom witches, any suggestions?
