InuYasha was my absolute favourite back in middle school, and holds a special place in my heart. A friend suggested I do a Kagome version, which I’m stoked to work on next!

Though Valentine’s Day may have passed, the Deku Cupid is finally completed!

I’m really happy with how they both turned out. For 2024, I really want to work on making holiday themed and other special day related pieces throughout the year.

Did a little pose study for this week’s post. I really want to do a dance-themed project in the near future, so I thought I’d take the time to practice some dance poses. I worked on this one last night and tweaked it this morning. I was pleasant surprised at how accurate it came out! Not perfect, but better than past attempts. I’m excited to do more of these ☺️

I’ve been itching to do screen cap or manga panel redraws for a long time! Was finally feeling confident enough to try.

Since April is Bakugou’s month, I did my first one from the scene in Heroes Rising. Where the popsicle he was going to eat melts and falls off, from eavesdropping on Izuku and Katsuma’s conversation.

Deku and Dynamy!

Future keychains and stickers :) The vinyl stickers are available on my Etsy shop, NakiShop. Tomorrow (Friday), I plan to order my keychain and holo stickers of these!

Gonna make one more single Dynamy item, maybe to order by mid April or the end of the latest :D

I’ll have to create two new versions with my new glasses, but for now please enjoy my current self portrait! I had been wanting to do this for quite some time, and thought setting a goal for my birthday (tomorrow) would be a great opportunity! The plan is to use this as my new icon for my profile here, and my Twitter accounts (though I’ll change it up for the personal Twitter to be more casual or in a different style, so it’s not confusing)

The last time I attempted a self portrait like this was when I reached 100 followers on my art and design instagram account, and immediately lost a few followers. Lovely 🙃 Hopefully that doesn’t happen again, but if it does then OH WELL!! This is what I look like, sorry if you don’t like it 😘

My take of Roxas from Nomura’s piece that features Sora, Roxas, and Ventus. Maybe I’ll try drawing the other two at a later date. I love all the Quadratum stuff being done!

I LOVE your art! Maybe you already have one, but would you consider dropping a coloring tutorial?

I will try my best !

First step is to draw the thing obviously

Next thing I do is I block my drawing in with a solid colour! This prevents gaps in my colouring, making sure I’ve coloured every part, which will help when I make the background.

Then I make another layer and set it to clipping mask and start adding flats on the hair, the skin, and clothes.

After that, I add details to the flats, blush, shading, etc. It’s pretty messy but it lets me play around with colour and make sure it looks nice before I start blending

Next, I blend! I add more details to the eyes, render out the blush, and focus more on tidying up where I might’ve gone over the line with my flats. Then it’s just rendering until I’m happy!

Finally, any last little details and stuff I want to add then I’m done!

I forgot to share my piece from last week!

Based off Nova’s DTIYS from last year, when Bakugou was posed in Deku workout gear.

Redraw finished! Compare the original from 2021 on the right.

One of the things I wanted to work on was adding more detail. While I’m still not great with backgrounds, I’m more confident in trying to incorporate them when I can. I also started colouring eyes a little different from the way I was doing in 2022. The added touch I think helps give them more depth.

This particular piece is meant to be part of the Uni AU fic I’m writing called It Was Always You on AO3 (though rated M as a fair warning).

goin’ through it

don’t know why but I’ve been on the “quirkless!deku who didn’t get into the hero course” train lately, I’m usually not a fan of that, but it’s fun to explore the goofiness (see: scammers to lovers) and also the potential angst of it all
