aaaaand lineart is done!
now it's time for the hardest things - colors >.<
and funniest thing - drawing dumb shit into the pictures on the wall that nobody will really see since most of them are too small but I'll have tons of fun :3 (and yes, the ones without frames next to the cat tree will be all pictures of cats, it's their own cat gallery)

Edward Seago (1910-1974) - The Thames at Westminster
Oil on board. 13.75 x 20 inches, 35 x 50.8 cm.
Estimate: £20,000-30,000.
Sold Dreweatts, Newbury, Berks, 12 March 2025 for £40,000 + B.P.
The angle and elevation of the work would suggest that Seago painted this from the Institution of Engineering and Technology on Savoy Place (yep, I lined it up) just by Waterloo Bridge. In the foreground is Cleopatra's Needle, behind which is Charing Cross Rail Bridge, then Westminster Bridge leading to Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, beyond is Lambeth Bridge and Millbank Tower a little further upstream.
The next building along Savoy Place is the back of the Savoy Hotel from which Claude Monet painted his iconic views of Waterloo Bridge and the Houses of Parliament (roughly level with the Routemaster bus on Victoria Embankment). I've posted some previously.
As an aside, if you are ever on Waterloo Bridge there are a set of steps on the north side at the end of the railings that lead up to a raised terrace and the entrance to 1 Lancaster Place. It gives you a 180-degree view from the Houses of Parliament panning around to the Pleistocene south of the river before coming back to Civilisation with the City of London and Docklands north of the Thames. No one goes up there so you can make a quick video, but don't linger as technically it private property. OOPS! Well, you can forget about all of this paragraph until the end of 2026. 1 Lancaster Place and Brettenham House next door are undergoing a major refurbishment and the place is a building site. I guess I'm usually concentrating on the road as I ride past! Make your video from the bridge instead.

For once Sam is winning with the bank ;)
Which is Alpine. She is great at being the bank and swatting at anyone that tries to take money. Fortunately she is very corruptible and can be bribed with treats ;)
(and also please appreciate the great return of Sam's ugly christmas sweater and the fact that Bucky decided to wear something bit more decent (although vaguely threatening))

Aaaand I've managed to finish it on time by the end of christmas season / on time for orthodox one? Happy ugly sweater season anyway regardless what you celebrate.
Main idea here is that they are having great holiday marathon of old spy films curated by Nat. Also she and Bucky are providing reality check for the dumb shit happening while giving lived through examples of reality being even stupider sometimes ;P
Also I headcanon (does it count as a headcanon if it's my drawing?idk) that either after last year sweater fiasco few aunts in Sam's quite big family decided to fix that while taking inspiration from their superhero costumes. Or that actually Bucky took up knitting because it requires a lot of repetitive and very precise hand movements and it helps him notice when his hand may need a tune up.
Clear lineart version is here and there is a close up below the cut ;)

new upgraded version of ugly christmas sweater where this year everybody understood the assignment (compared to last year) with a bit of holiday progress! Or maybe a yearly progress? It's actually kinda better than last year one and I was so thoroughly convinced I stagnated completely and was just doodling for funsies in ma spare time yet progress still crept up on me.
So with that I guess it would be nice thing to wish everybody for this new year. That good things will just happen so gradually it may not be noticeable. But it's a steady and good way froward :)

Note
did nat + bucky try to give alpine her own matching kitty sweater? if so, did she refuse, or was she so fluffy that it just catapulted directly off

if you give me an perfect excuse to doodle alpine don't think i wouldn't take it ;P
I guess they tried to dress her up but she is so fluffy that any clothing slowly gets overtaken by the fluff :D
oh and i actually used reference! for science!

Ok this one sat in my wip folder waaaay too long being practically finished just because I'm not 100% satisfied with it. But screw it. Let's post it and get extra disappointed and be done with it.
Let me present to you ugly sweater extravaganza where only Sam understood the assignment and was most fun to draw :) Although giving Steve the most grandpa clothes I could think of was fun (even if I cant draw him to save my life >.<) also giving Bucky and Nat matching outfits (with each other AND their cats) because they exactly the type of couple that coordinates their outfits and also going with winter clothes not fitting the winter weather ;P
