Why are enemies to lovers such a popular/beloved trope?
Because of the passion. The adrenaline from fighting. And the passion for the making up. Listening to The Way I Loved You is the epitome of Enemies to Lovers. She says everyone is jealous of her new partner, that he is sensible and good for her, but she wants the devotion, dedication, and passion in enemies to lovers bring. The intense kissing in the rain. That the rage is how they love each other.
