Its my birthday today here's a little present! Progress so far on the Knight painting. Its surreal to see it this far along considering how long I've stared at it in its unfinished state (I started this early last year ). Still so much to go, but the foundation of the main figure is done. This is 60" x 33" btw. A big talismanic meditation on big Solar and Martial yang energy. The spear is a scorpion and the chest armor a ram, very fitting now with the Sun in Scorpio and Mars direct in Aries Hope you like it!

So much has happened in the past few weeks, still reeling a little bit, and still more to come. This Contreras Gallery show opened during the middle of Tucson Comic Con, but everything somehow managed to fall into place. I have three pieces up - Pan, Stress Builds Character, and a Bouveret study. Also, finally, here's the pics of Pan with the finished frame! So happy with how it came out!

If you're in town go check them out!! The show is Fantasy and Surrealism and will be up until the 30th. It has a bunch of awesome and weird stuff to feast your eyes upon including Ky Tran's shiny metal prints.

Just got back from my first IX Imagine This and had my mind blown. Met so many amazing people and artists. Now I'm off to Tucson Comic Con!! I'll be at tables AA51 & AA52 (yeah that's right I went all out and got two). Come check it out! The Meat Boys got a whole row baby

This is the second card I did for Throne of Eldraine - Foulmire Knight! I'm still really happy with how this came out.

Well, I can finally cross this off my bucket list. Magic The Gathering is pretty much what got me into art and I've wanted to work for them since the early 2010's. I can FINALLY show these now! I did two cards in November and December of last year, and they've both been spoiled over the last week or so. This one is called "Barrow Witches" - "Taste the sweetness, breath for breath. Keep the balance, death for death."Thanks to Cynthia Sheppard and all the magic artists I pestered over the years about doing work for Wizards. This couldn't have been a better set to work on and I wish I was pro enough to have done 20 cards for it, but I'll take what I can get lol. ⁠

VICTORY Here is a timelapse of well over 30 hours of sculpting condensed down into a minute and a half! I also posted an hour and a half long version on my Patreon. This was all done in ZBrush with the intent to eventually 3D print and bronze cast it for my Mom as a trophy of VICTORY for kicking breast cancer’s ass. Unfortunately it’s too intricate and thin to print at an affordable size, but maybe sometime down the line it’ll become manifest.

I'm back in business baby. I've been on a work hiatus for the past five months, grinding nights full time in order to save up, move out, and afford myself time to paint. I've now been on a roughly two week vacation, just moved, switched to a normal sleep schedule.. lots of changes. It's like night and day how different everything is, literally. All very much for the better.

I was finally able to make some more progress on this painting, doing in three days what would have taken a month while working. Feels gud mayne. I hope you like it and I very much look forward to being back with the living.

In the words of the immortal Assman 640, "We came back, we were always coming back."

Finally here's an update on how this painting's going. HECKING SLOW yo. But I'm really happy with how it's coming along so far and can't wait to get further into it.

SKETCH DUMP I finally filled up my old sketchbook and got a new one, much bigger this time and with heavier paper and I love it. A couple of these are preliminaries for oil paintings that I'm considering putting into a proposal for something like a fellowship or residency to get them all done.

Does anyone have any experience or advice with that? I'm still working full time and struggling to get any work done, but I'm ramping up to switch back over to art more soon.

And that concludes the entirety of this sketchbook. I finished this one about 3x faster than my first one, mostly from doing ton's of anatomy studies in it. But I'm already on to the next one, and this time I went BIGger and THICCER
