Oh my GOD it's here!

LOOK. Oh my goodness. The movie is finally here!!! I waited and waited and waited and today while I was at work, the package was delivered. I was expecting that so my mom was at home and received the package. I left her money for customs duty (fee), didn’t pay too much, 5$ only so bearable amount considering the movie was delivered all the way from New Zealand.

I did put the disc in Blu-ray player and the MENU, the music in it is fantastic ! There are deleted scenes, interviews of the cast with Rhys Darby included!

Unfortunately the PowerDVD23 won't let me do screenshots in the MENU so I did few pictures.

I can’t wait to watch this 🤩. I still have some things to do and hopefully I will be able to watch it tonight but if not then I’ll watch tomorrow after work!

The movie Uproar with Rhys Darby is a movie that had its release few months ago in certain areas of the world. When I heard the movie was to be released on DVD and BLU-RAY I thought that it would be better to buy the movie now and watch it than wait for the international release of the film.

The exchange from AU$ to polski zloty is very good so I haven’t paid as much as I feared. The price was within limits.

The day I bought Uproar was 18th of March, one day before the release on DVD, BLU-RAY. And then I waited and waited. I’m like ‚ either I deleted the mail with shipping confirmation from SPAM folder or the movie was not yet sent’ Turns out the DVD edition got sent right away and the BLU RAY got 1-2 weeks for them to get it and then ship them out. I waited again and then I noticed at the shop’s website the BLU RAYS got buy today we send it next day kind of message. I’m like hold on a minute … did I just paid money for a movie I wouldn’t see at all?

I decided to send them a message with my enquiries. They responded, apologised, gave me 10$ in return and told me they would send it right after Easter. They did just that.

For the last 3 weeks I’ve been keeping my eyes on the tracking, hoping they would get here faster. Since Friday the 19th of April the status was in customs at my local customs office.

Since about an hour ago the movie was released from customs and is on its way. Well technically the customs office is like an hour away from my home but I can’t just go and get it. Not really. Not in this weather 😅

There are two options for the customs payment. Either I will have to pay or not. Poland and New Zealand have a customs agreement when shipping good from NZ to PL. I remember that when I ordered a fan made comics from South Korea I realised our countries too have customs agreement for shipping goods and I paid nothing then and the price was higher.

I’m just happy that the wait is very close to being over. Now I just need to pray for the disc to be intact.

Finished this piece! It's a study of a scene from 'Lupin III' but with a Good Omens twist. Recently I was reminded of the movie again, and ever since I saw that little yellow car I've been thinking about recreating it with the yellow bentley instead.

I've also added it here for use as a free wallpaper. As with any of my work it's free for all personal uses ‼✨💕

It was 13 or 14 years ago. From what I remember you just shouldered aside the mastodons, went into the Tumblr cave and carved your mark on the wall, telling people you were now signed up for tumblr, and then they would haul memes on animal hides past you. Back then it was mostly cats doing amusing things, obviously, but we would watch them by the flickering firelight, and chortle to ourselves hopefully before leaving the cave and trudging back to our lives.
