Aight, we all know how Yerenica and Eridians skinship is flawless. But let me tell you. I am all for the skinship between Laliette and Rupert in ‘Your Majesty, please spare me this time.’ The manhwa has a lot of mixed feelings about it because its another one of those guy kills girl, girl get another chance at life and ends up with guy. But the way its executed is a lot more forgiving than others that do this. For one the guy is painted to be a lot worse than he actually is and there are REASONS for some of the stuff that happens. As the story develops its not just senseless killing like we’re made to believe! And Laliette’s agency is great. The panels where she imagines bludgeoning the dude are great, she loathes him and doesn’t instantly forgive him. Its SEVERAL years before she actually forgives him and actually ends up feeling any sort of romantic inclination towards him and at this point all misunderstandings have ultimately been cleared. The whole time she’s struggling with the internal conflict of him being completely different from what she imagined and damn near a normal kid, and is just so conflicted over it. And while they’re growing up together their casual skinship that they develop and their casual closeness is just so great. Its really well written so far and actually might be one of my favorites.
