Hell yeah bitches. All of my favourite shows aren’t airing anymore lmao

I don't wanna @ anyone because I understand how fast things seem to move in today's landscape of streaming shows dropping entire seasons in one day, and networks pumping out new series constantly to try to attract more subscribers with no intent to actually maintain those shows over time but I just saw someone self-deprecatingly lament that they are still thinking about a show that ended almost a year ago, making fan art and playlists for it, and I want to be very clear:

you can still create fanworks when it comes to old media!! PLEASE do!! there are always going to be new fans who will appreciate it, and veteran fans who are dying for new content and new perspectives. also, less than a year is NOTHING. the original Star Trek series was on TV six decades ago and there are still people losing their minds over it, writing stories and reblogging gifsets daily, and that's only one example.

a fandom lasts as long as there are people who love a thing, even if it's only a handful of people. love what you love and write and draw and make gifs and playlists about it!

No but like, when Ty is forced to face the life threatening consequences of necromancy, whether they are legal or magical, and Julian falls to his knees as he realises that he could’ve saved his brother (basically his child) if he had said yes in that moment then what?

forever tormented by the idea that julian could’ve stopped ty doing necromancy if he hadn’t been under that spell in qoaad. that scene after thule when ty tells him he’s going to ‘fix everything with his plan’ and julian leaves even after ty asks him if he wants to know the plan…. IM TORMENTED

Cristina is the only person in the main cast with a strict moral compass, and Diego should be very thankful for that.

I’m having flashbacks to the beginning of Lady Midnight where Cristina thinks to herself (before meeting the Blackthorns) that the Blackthorns not “approving” of her will make her stay in LA very unpleasant. Now Diego is seeing the consequences of not having the approval of the LA Institute.

But of course, Emma looks for a loophole, leading to a very delightful scene.

And then…

Emma does everything but touch him to hurt him. She likes to operate in a specific way, and she’s willing to be clever if it means she can directly attack Diego for hurting Cristina.

still thinking about how I found alec lightwood, the most unhinged and confused teenager to ever teenage when I was thirteen and then grew with him as we both fumbled friendships and relationships and learnt about love and reaponsibity and letting go. still can't believe my baby boy is consul now. he has a loving warlock husband and two kids. he's everything I want to be, and he's so grown up and I'm still stuck in this precipice of adulthood and childhood. but ykw? that's okay. he makes me realise that I will also grow up and can have what I want. he makes me realise the paper cuts can bleed but they will also heal and this is the reason why silly fantasy novels aren't silly at all. sometimes they tell u that a messy gay teenager can make mistakes and learn from them and grow up and be the leader of his people.

imagine being 15 (terrible) and you live in a basement and are only allowed outside every once in a while under strict conditions (isolating) and then you watch your father get literally torn apart by demons (traumatizing) and then a bunch of strangers inform you that you are genetically one of those cultlike child soldiers that your dad always warned you about (migraine inducing) so now you have to go to their weird house in the middle of nowhere and live with the other child soldiers (frightening) and then the brain short circuitingly attractive guy who held you at knifepoint keeps sleeping outside your door and he and his sister keep following you everywhere (SCREAM???) and then some college aged guy shows up while you're collecting stuff to sell when you run away and announces that not only are you a child soldier but your ancestors were like famous and he's basically jesus and also your only living blood relative, and then busts you for stealing and gives you a therapy speech about how you shouldn't throw your life away (HUH???????) and then a bunch of annoying bigots come into the house and keep yapping at you about their shitty ideology (migraine inducing part 2) and also the government is falling apart, you're having your bisexual awakening at a REALLY inconvenient time, there's some guy committing heinous crimes against nature to raise his girlfriend from the dead but then he dies and turns into a demon magnet, you get multiple concussions, and a bunch of strange arcane mystical figures keep ominously trying to figure out why you look familiar (WTF)
