well, whether or not y’all have been wondering where this loser went, i’d been taking a break from social media and have been chillin’ on my twitter these days.

i won’t be back on this name - probs not - but i do have two new tumblrs y’all can follow if you’d like. they are their own accounts so you’ll get follow backs from ‘em both. mainly gonna be aesthetic and quotes, with the occasional ask(s) popping up on them:

my roegadyn - a 50 year old single mother of four cubs, uses a specialized sort of thaumatergy, and keeps it hush-hush that she’s a bloodmage. her ex-husband was a notorious pirate. currently, she works for the Maelstrom as a levemete and is a hell of a flirt.

a newer girl that is a former geisha from the far east. doesn’t give out her actual name, and just tells folks to call her Sakura. she’s a cute little Au Ra that’s based slightly off of Terra from FF6, and isn’t as innocent or sweet as her outward personality reflects.

Y’shtola has Stone IV, Foul, Blizzard IV, Aero, Water, and Thunder spells, and is called a Sorceress.

Alphinaud is an Academician, so he gets to have Scholar spells while keeping his carbuncle. Minfillia was able to cast spells as a Rogue. Urianger has a Death spell as an Astrologian.

Basically, don’t let your dreams be dreams. Have your character know whatever skills/spells you want, and if people call it lore breaking or Mary Sue tell them you don’t care. And that’s that.

Do WHM lilies have any lore behind them?

A big thanks to @sultana-dreaming​ and Anonymoose for discovering and pointing out this obscure nugget of lore to me!

Most are familiar with the Gridanian flag, a white lily encircled by twin adders. The serpents are symbolic of the union between early Elezen and Hyuran tribes during Gelmorra’s time. What is less commonly known is the symbolism behind the lily:

Foundation Day Commemorative Coins: “Kan-E-Senna, Elder Seedseer, opposite the sacred lily, from which the first whispers were heard, entwined by the twin serpents for fraternity.”

In the Year 1076, a Gelmorran conjurer named Jorin held the first successful communion between man and elemental in Peacegarden. After these early talks, the elementals permit the Gelmorrans to live within the Wood. The first whispers of the elementals heard by the conjurer Jorin, were heard from a lily, and the flower has been sacred to Gelmorra and Gridania ever since. In 1081, Jorin’s wife gave birth to the first Padjal, I-Ohok-Pota, chosen of the elementals.
