My job!

I have a brilliant job. It's voluntary so I don't get paid but it's so rewarding. I talk about my job a lot because I love it. I work in the activities centre of a residency where I help adults with disabilities to take part in activities and groups and visits. For example, this week I've done: - Monday - art class, helping a lady with limited hand movements to sew a tapestry. - Tuesday - music class, this is usually pretty chill so most of it is helping people with their drinks. Some of the adults I work with need me to hold a cup with a straw to their mouths so they can drink, each service user has their own needs so it's important to maintain as much independence as possible, everyone is different. -Thursday - I spend the morning In the "hub" working with the communication software, helping service users to access the communication software. I recently made a communication board to help someone decide on what to eat out on trips. The afternoon class is cooking and it is so much fun. We have a laugh and make lots of different things like smoothies, pies, cakes, cheesecake. You name it, we could give it a go! - Friday- usually a trip out. We have three spaces in the minibus for service users and 3 staff go on the trip. Yesterday we went to a local park and had tea and coffee. It's great working there but I will also tell you that my mum lives where I work. My mum had a stroke 8 years ago and has been left with paralysis down her right hand side and is in a wheelchair. She can't form words but understands everything. I love my mum so much. Even if I've not been working with her during activities, I always make sure to eat lunch with her and that is the best thing ever!

I asked this old man who won and said I’m annoyed that labour didn’t win. He was a complete cunt and so rude. I had to force myself from swearing and screaming at him. I hate bpd oh and he called Jeremy Corbin mental. Like what the fuck you don’t know shit. He really fucked me off!
