The End of The Square Profile Image

A great sad thing is happening in our world. The death of the square profile picture. Every site and program that allows you to add a profile image seem to now be doing away it the square image for the round one. But why? I really don’t understand... Photos are taken as rectangle so why then have it wen you upload the image it become round. All you see is half cut off images of people's faces or icons.

These round monstrosities don’t look any better the square ones, so why are some many sites now doing it. Even YouTube has now gone to the dark side and added round images onto the android app. 

It this just me or does anyone else hate these round pictures. Maybe we could start an uprising. #bringbackthesquare :D

The Need For Tech

As of late, I've been feeling the need to start a blog. Not sure why but it’s something that has always interested me even though I can’t think of anything more boring than reading someone else's.

So finally I’ve got round to do it. Who knows if anyone will read it. At least I can say to myself that I finally got round to doing one. While thinking of making a blog I still wasn’t sure what to make it about. Until the day I lost my phone...

On this what seemed to be an endless day of horror I found that my phone, which normally sits on my bedside table at night, was not there when I woke up that morning. After spending a good hour looking for this thing, I Eventually gave up hoping that somehow I'll just find it as I go around the day. Like when you cut your finger and can't put any pressure on it and it leves that finger useless, you start to realise how much you use your finger and now it’s gone it makes normal tasks like doing up a button hard. A similar thing happened to me when I had no phone. Throughout the day I would reach into my pocket to do something on my phone to only remember it’s not there. This is when I finally realized how much I use it for. It’s become an extension of my body.

While waiting for a mate, as I had no phone to occupy myself I got thinking. How much of my life I spend with technology. As a tech lover, I love to surround myself with even the most useless of the stuff. Things like an app on my phone to start my kettle, useless and I’ve never used it because I’ve always forgotten I have it. Only once I've pressed to button on the kettle do I remember the fact that I could have done it from my phone while still in my bed. But I still like the fact that if I do remember I can do it even though it's pointless.

So finally I get to the point. I love tech, so what’s what the blog is going to be about. My experiences feelings with it, oh and a bit of news on the latest of it. I’m also in the process of making my own game, so maybe ill put a few post about that. We’ll see, it could come out really bad.
