Hiii, everyone. Yeah, I know, it’s been a while… and only one page, sorry about that. 😅 I recently got a job, and now I don’t have time for anything! I come home so tired that I can’t do much but sleep, eat, and work. These past two weeks have been a blur. Also, I’m kinda hating how the comic looks right now. I’ve been reading Over the Garden Wall comics, and I love the style, so I tried to take some inspiration from there, but honestly… I feel like I suck at it. I haven’t had time to practice drawing, and I’m so frustrated with trying to switch from anatomy to a more cartoony style. Like, how do I make that transition? It just looks like crap right now. 😩

Sorry, I’m rambling. I’m just really tired and frustrated. Updates are probably going to be really slow for a while, and I might even want to redraw some stuff, or just take more time to get it to where I like it. My brain is such a mess sometimes. I love sketchy comic styles, but I also love clean comic styles, and it’s driving me nuts trying to figure out what to do! 😖

But anyway, I promise the story is all figured out plot-wise. You haven’t even seen 0.001% of what I have planned! Just bear with me while I try to get it all out. Thanks for sticking around. 💙

Man, I’m still tryin’ to wrap my head around this. Last Christmas, she was still my same ol’ Mabel—glitter, sweaters, all that goofy charm. Sure, a little less sparkle than usual, but not like this. Now? It’s like I’m staring at a whole new person. Guess that fight with Dipper really did a number on her… Can’t blame her for changin’, though. Two years is a long time, especially after what went down between them. But I don’t know, this just feels… different.

I know, I know—it’s moving a little slow and maybe you’re still trying to figure out what’s going on (unless you’ve somehow gotten into my head… did Bill tell you?? 😏). Anywayyy, I’ve started learning anatomy because, well, yeah—I started a comic and THEN decided to learn how to draw. 😅 It’s been my only real motivation to actually sit down and learn! Honestly, I wish I could just stick a chip in my brain and learn how to draw instantly. Elon Musk, what’s the hold-up? Hurry up, chop chop! 😂

Hey everyone! Here’s a sneak peek of the next scene—some rough sketches and concept art! Stan’s about to have quite a moment, and Mabel… well, let’s just say she’s not what he was expecting. 😂 Honestly, I swear, the design is never the same—I just can’t commit to one style because I like them all! I’m trying to stick with something simpler since I’m new to drawing, but then I want to add a thousand details that I don’t have the motivation to do but still want it to look nice. So yeah, chances are the art style will keep changing until I find something that works or create one I like and can draw consistently. I’ll probably come back and remake these pages later, sorryyy! 😅 Any advice? I’d love to hear what you think—what’s working, what’s not? Your feedback really helps me bring these scenes to life.
