Juliette Lee (born Juliette Kim) was born in 1999 in Miami, Florida to an unknown mother and father. Her parents had her after a one night stand and her mother left her on her father’s doorstep not too long after she was born. Her father was a genuine deadbeat and often left toddler Juliette to fend for herself. When she was five, her father went to prison and Juliette was shoved into the foster system. 

After being bounced around between a couple of foster homes, she finally was adopted by the Lees at the age of thirteen and moved to Korea to continue her life as Lee Soojung. Upon settling into her new family, Juliette learned she had an older brother named Hojin who had just graduated high school and an older sister named Jaehwa, who the family no longer held any contact with. 

Despite living the life she had always dreamed of as a kid with very loving and supportive parents and a brother she could always rely on for a few years, Juliette couldn’t help but be intrigued by and wonder about this mysterious sister of hers that no one in her family dared to talk about. After pressuring her brother on the topic for months, he finally admitted that Jaehwa was a freshly debuted idol at ANGELICO Entertainment in the girl group VIVANT. Wanting desperately to meet her sister, Juliette decided to audition for the company with the support of her parents. 

Making it into ANGELICO in 2017, Juliette never actually got the chance to ever bump into Jaehwa due to both of their stacked up schedules. Considering she had only been a trainee for a year, Juliette wasn’t expecting to get the chance to debut anytime soon but after realizing her could exploit Juliette being the sister of Jaehwa, ANGELICO CEO Jinhwa decided to send the young girl to be a contestant on Produce 48. To Juliette’s surprise she was a popular trainee since the first episode and ended ranking 8th in the finale, debuting in the group IZ*ONE as the Lead Rapper, Lead Dancer, and Vocalist. 

Juliette carried on her popularity during Produce 48 into her new idol life, becoming a public favorite within IZ*ONE very quickly. She was constantly doing promotional activities and behind the scene things with Jaehwa, which also helped boost the popularity of both sisters and their groups. This didn’t stop in the slightest when IZ*ONE disbanded in 2021 and Juliette came back to ANGELICO as a trainee. 

She was quickly put into the debut lineup for CALLCARD and actually had some say in which members joined her in the lineup. She was quickly dubbed the group’s ace as soon as they were officially announced to the public.

Park Hwayeon was born in Ulsan in 2000 to a tight knit family of three. Being the last kid her parents ever planned on having, the family packed up and moved with their two daughters down to the coast of Busan, a place their mother had always dreamed of living. Hwayeon held a very strong ond with her older sister Hwayoung growing up, the two being so inseparable that they both picked up surfing when it caught the attention of Hwayeon. They both were extremally good at the sport even at a young age, but when acting became what Hwayoung was interested in, the girls put surfing on the back burner and started modeling in magazine ads and doing commercials. 

After finding one of her clothing ads in a magazine next to the kpop group Wonder Girls, Hwayeon decided to look into music and picked up on singing. She never really thought of actually pursuing the hobby she found in singing until Hwayoung decided to audition for ANGELICO Entertainment and her cousin, practically sister, Mikyung auditioned for DSP Media. Not confident in her own skills, Hwayeon decided to hold off auditioning for a company herself. 

After watching Mikyung debut in I.O.I and Hwayoung debut in Vivant, Hwayeon finally got the courage to audition for companies but ended up choosing ANGELICO to be closer to her sister. Hwayeon was able to train for four years before she was placed in the pre-debut coed group HI-CLASS, where she was able to be exposed to the public eye and gain a significant amount of fans. 

Hwayeon took on her english name Dottie, given to her by Hwayoung’s groupmate Lily, when she was announced as a finalized member of CALLCARD. Still not truly being confident in both herself and her skills, she was shocked when she was given the positions of main vocalist and visual within the group.

debuting as a seven member girl group under angelico in june of 2016, vivant was met with decent success with the release of their debut mini you & me. their debut song you? was considered to be on the plain side for a debut song but that didn’t stop the group from gaining a medium sized fanbase during this time.

letting their debut ride its course, the girls didn’t comeback until december of 2016, releasing their second mini album sticky situation. this release gained them a lot of attention from both domestic and international audiences mainly due to the concept of the title track. sticky held a rather mature concept, especially in the choreography, despite the girls’ age ranging from 19-15 at the time. 

riding off the attention they had gained from sticky, vivant quickly came back with their third mini album everyday in early february of 2017 with the title track monday. the people paying attention to them due to the controversy from their last release were very pleasantly surprised with this song and most ended up becoming genuine fans of the girls. monday was able to get the group their first ever win after two weeks of promotions. 

once again trying to ride off the success of their last release, angelico rushed out a digital single for the group, releasing the song love u in march of 2017. the strategy proved to be successful as the song was able to garner four music show wins and topped the charts for a short bit. 

the rest of 2017 was silent from the entire group, fans only ever getting a chance to see all seven girls together in some youtube videos or the sporadic variety show they’d go on. most of the members had a bunch of solo schedules throughout the year besides maknae lily. a legal document and court case revolving around lily supposedly accusing one of their managers of harming her is the rumored reason why the group and lily were silent for roughly seventeen months. 

after almost a year and a half, vivant finally came back with their first full album pang pang!. the title track heartbeat was something new and refreshing for the group, their fans loving it instantly (partially due to the name being a dedication to the fandom) and making the album one of the most successful of 2018. due to the high popularity vivant gained, they spent the rest of the year promoting pang pang! and filling up their schedules. 

vivant debuted their first ever subunit, vibrant, in early 2019 featuring members ivy, yeona, sunny, and lily. they released their debut single but you and were instantly an international and domestic hit, bringing a ton of new fans to the group. a lot of long time heartbeats felt that the subunit was debuted to try and distract from behind the scene problems. 

the suspicions of heartbeats were confirmed when second youngest member sooah announced her departure from vivant in april of 2019. only two months after sooah terminated her contract with angelico, new member eunmi was announced along with the release of a summer mini album. the group released hello summer with the title track rollin to introduce heartbeats to their new maknae. 

despite summer love being a weird time for heartbeats, it was a very popular summer anthem and encouraged angelico to squeeze in another mini album before award season began. vivant dropped their fifth mini album devious in october of 2019 and was able to secure their second ever end of year award with the title track devil. 

fully confident in the success of vivant, management decided to let vibrant have another comeback to start off 2020. releasing their first mini album 4never, the quartet was able to snag three music show wins for their title track like you. a lot of heartbeats were worried they were going to get a repeat of 2019 when the subunit’s comeback was announced but the members constantly reassured fans that wasn’t the case. 

the girls rounded out 2020 with the release of their second full album red lip. the album and its title track no dominated the kpop world and easily won multiple daesangs at the end of year award shows. this album easily secured vivant’s spot as one of the top girl groups in kpop and within angelico. 

riding off the success of red lip, the girls released their first repackaged album called kiss stains in the early months of 2021. once again their title track black dress dominated the charts and is considerably the group’s most successful release to date. 

wanting to see how the public react to a genuinely sexy/mature concept, vivant released the digital single wiggle wiggle. despite a good chunk of heartbeats enjoying the song, it was a major flop with the general public and actually garnered the girls a good amount of hate. 

trying to quickly move past the flop that was wiggle wiggle, vivant released their smash hit mini album hide & seek. once again the title track peek-a-boo dominated the charts and did its job, making the public forget all about their last release. 

with a lot of the girls having their own booked solo schedules, subunit vibrant made their now yearly comeback with the mini album 4ever and title track 4ever young. the very summery song being released in the winter made it a popular song with adults and the youth to reminisce on the passed seasons.
