This is a legacy challenge I created to add some more drama and spice to my game while enjoying the many packs and features it has to offer (that I often forget exist)! Feel free to use mods/cc in your games or play completely vanilla. It’s all up to you! In some generations, I will add some mod suggestions that I think would add to the overall experience of that gen, but it is NOT a must! Feel free to alter certain goals to suit your play style as I want you guys to enjoy the legacy and have fun! I hope you guys are ready for some drama & hot tea! 🍵

This legacy is pack heavy (I couldn’t help myself 😭) so feel free to swap out traits, aspirations and goals to something you can do with the packs you own. Some generations are more wholesome than others. Some are filled with drama! If you want to check things off your list, make a copy of the rules to keep for yourself, then you should be able to edit it! Oh and I want to see your sims!! Ever since I started playing the Globetrotter challenge by @moonfi; I've been creating a collection of UI Widget style templates. This collection includes 20(ish) different templates for you to use in your gameplay screenshots. I'm hoping I did my best to make this as user-friendly as possible; but if you have any questions or notice something off - don't hesitate to message me or send an ask!

[Tips & Hints]

Open the awkwardwhims psd collection file in Photoshop, then drag & drop the folder or group of templates onto your image.

The photo album template was inspired by @folkbreeze (definitely check out their resources, they're all so nice!) & other various examples I saw online.

Resize the template by selecting the folder as a whole; resizing individual layers may makes things unaligned.

Feel free to change background colors/fonts/etc as much as you want.

The text message template has 3 styles: sender, green receiver & blue receiver. There are also reaction icons & a separate reaction bar.

For the to-do list template I didn't include every aspiration icon (I was trying to keep this file as small as possible) but you can download this pack by @deathbypufferfish that has all the aspiration icons you'll need. However, it may be missing some of the newer aspiratons.

When adding photos (album cover/recent photos/etc) use a clipping mask.

The weather template includes all the different weather icons, so be sure to hide/unhide the one that applies.

For the new transaction template, make sure to only change the number of the price otherwise the Simoleon symbol will get changed to Times New Roman.

The notification message template is for life events, bad events & default game notifications (ie: legacy player, etc).

You are a sim who loves nature and everything it has to offer. So you try to achieve that dream of living in the wild. You move to Henford on Bagley and suddenly you're mesmerized by the beauty which the world holds. You garden and own a farm tending to it day by day. You do that till one day your life changes when you meet someone. With the same outlook on life as you! You marry them, have kids and they become all you think about. Now you're so busy with your family your farm starts to suffer. So to avoid your farm from dying and your family. You have an affair… With a rich sim who can save you and your partner's farm. You manage to save your farm and pay bills but what happens now. Will your partner find out or will you go on and still be with them?

Goals: 

-Be in the Farmer career (No promotion modded career.)

-Max the Gardening and Parenting Skills 

-Plant a beautiful garden full of watermelons, lettuce, pumpkins, Aubergines etc.

-Have at least one cow or llama 

-Have at least two chickens 

-Make money from your farm by selling your produce, fruits and vegetables. Also by selling your eggs and milk your livestock make.

-Meet someone who loves nature like you, marry them and have at least two kids. 

-Neglect your farm after you start your family. 

-Have an affair with a rich sim who can save your dying farm.

Gen.2 Cheerful Chef Makes Edibles and Quits Their Job👩🏻‍🍳🌿

You grew up on a farm with parents who loved their family. Now you're a foodie sim who is full of hope and very cheerful. You move out of your cozy cottage with your family. To Willow Creek where the grass is still green but you're on your own. Away from family you take a chance and get a job as a chef. You enjoy it but it becomes stressful and your head starts to go crazy. So you buy weed from a dealer. To calm your nerves then one night you become inspired to make edibles. That becomes your favorite thing to make. Soon you realize that your job isn’t fulfilling as you originally thought. So you quit and make edibles and sell them on your own. You're so thankful to your drug dealer for helping you realize. That you were stuck in your job so you go out with them to a bar. You drink and smoke too much and woohoo all night. You wake up and don’t remember Because you're too hungover to recollect anything. After that night you find out you're pregnant. And you're okay with that but what about your drug dealer? Will you tell them what will they think? Will you two be together? It's up to you?!

Growing up your parent always kept the house smelling good. With the smell of edibles. But you weren’t ever interested in that kind of pleasure. You just want to make people look beautiful so you leave your parents' aroma filled home. To a not so pleasant apartment building or apartment in the city. That’s filled with many rodents. This isn’t what you expected but you stick it through. And start your beauty business in your dusty crusty living room. You get a few customers but not enough to pay rent. So you take a look at options online for easy money. You find out you can get easy money by going and dancing on the street..! You're not against it but is this really your last option? You try to avoid it but after scouting for new customers you have no choice. You decide to dress nice and please the people on the streets. Soon you make bank and you can actually pay your rent now. No problem, no doubts you go dance when your simoleons run out. People start walking in your door asking for more than just a cute haircut. You wonder why then you realize your days of working the streets. Now made you famous for the wrong reasons. Not for your talent with scissors and bleach. You are embarrassed but then you start to embrace it and make it part of your brand. you're a hair stylist not afraid of risking it all for your craft. You do well and open up your own salon and meet someone then have a baby/babies. But what to do now, should you continue to dance for money on the street? Or leave it in the past? You made good money from it. What do you do, it’s up to you!

As a kid and teen you were always a rebel never being close with your family. Now as a young adult you're going to the gym staying there all night. Getting ready for boxing fights, You become a boxer you may not be a professional. Yet but you got fists like iron ready for action. All the way through your young adult life. You become well known for your tough personality and for how great a boxer you are. But something happens as an adult your body doesn’t do what it used too. So you lose your confidence and become a teacher to kids who are trouble. Just like you were but you meet a coworker who raises your self esteem. You two go out and it all goes well but your not into getting married. Though so that’s as far as it goes and your partner is okay with that. You both decide to have a baby. It seems like you have a nice family but then you and your partner break up. Now you're left with a child you don’t know how to parent. You're a teacher, that doesn’t mean you're a role model. Will you try and teach your child? Or will you give up and let them be how they're going to be, and become a bad parent? The choice is yours!

But it pays after all your meant to be a chess player. So when you become a young adult you start being a professional chess player! But your ego gets the best of you like most things do. So to settle it you find someone online. Chat with them they become your friend and then it leads to more. You marry and have kids but barely notice they’re there. Because your too focused on being a chess champ. But your partner is annoyed your neglecting them and your kids. So what about your partner and you!? They immediately sweep you off your feet and buy you a few drinks. You end up getting tipsy and have woohoo with them. All you remember is that it was amazing you were a virgin. They took it from you and you're okay with that. Because you love them you feel that you both have true love at first sight. So you ask them out, they say yes but little do you know how toxic they will be. For you, you go out with them and things seem amazing. It seems like you’ve found your soulmate but after finding out you're pregnant. You tell them and they emotionally scar you! They don’t want kids and want nothing to do with you. They used you so you're left all alone heartbroken. Taking pictures of nature because that’s what calms you. You turn it into a career to make something of your life now that your heart got “ripped out!” You become a loner raising your child on your own. You never thought you’d be a single parent but here you are! Do you decide to stay a loner forever and focus on your child? Or do you at some point find somebody who understands your untrusting ways? You move to a trailer in Oasis Springs, perfect just for you and your dog. Who stays right beside you. Together you spend your days going for runs. Training yourself to be the best personal trainer you can be! Along the way you get side tracked by a handsome/beautiful someone your training. You show off your muscles and ask them out. You date and things go well they want you to make them. Into a perfect athlete you get pressured so under pressure. You start taking steroids and your muscles start grow. Now you're the best trainer but at what cost. You and your trainee. Work out because you prepared them to take over the sports world. Ya’ll marry and have kids but now you're getting really buff. From all the shots you keep taking do you stop? Or do you continue and look like a cartoon muscle figure?!

Gen.8 Tattoo Artist Who Discovers Their a Witch/Wizard💘🔮

Your parent was the greatest personal trainer but you aren’t athletic, you're an artist. Growing up you were always drawing after school or even during. When class became too boring though you managed to graduate. So you could go off to college. Studying art was what you truly thought would lift you up. But you keep having this feeling there’s something strange about you. You make it through the first couple semesters of college till. One day you start to feel like a place called Glimmerbrook is calling you. So you take a break from school to go off to some possible. Made up place to figure out what this weird Ora is your feeling. You travel to Glimmerbrook and see a portal at the edge with a waterfall. You travel through and are stunned by what you've seen. A witch meets up with you and tells you were chosen. To be a witch/wizard it’s in your dna from a long line of witches and wizards. In your family you can’t believe it because your family is mortal. But they assure you not your whole family is or was. They bless you and unlock your power so afterwards you learn magic. On your own in a home in Glimmerbrook where you can roam. Sadly college wasn’t your calling but you become a tattoo artist. Walking amongst mortals everyday keeping you’re cool. Only using magic when you're on your own. But this power has become a lot to handle now that you feel. That you want to meet someone have a love life and not end up alone. There’s a human at work who has their loving eyes on you. So do you decide to keep your power and risk being alone forever? Or do you meet someone who is a witch/wizard like you. Be in an arranged relationship/marriage. To keep your magical life a secret or do you give up your magical abilities. To live a mortal life with someone you could really love.

Gen.9 Forensic Scientist Witnesses Their Mysterious Immortal Lovers Death🔍☠️

You are the child of a witch/wizard who gave up their powers or didn’t for love. Now you face your own version of magic solving cases of peoples mysterious disappearance or death. As a child and teen you loved old crime shows. It was an obsession and you knew from that point on. You wanted to be a forensic scientist after you graduated high school. You went head first into the crime field. No college needed? They're in need of new people to help them solve unspeakable crimes. So you don’t question it and join the team. You do well solving crazy schemes your coworkers underestimated you. But now you’ve proven you belong in this field. So ya’ll go out for drinks at a lounge. There you meet a shady person who. You couldn’t help but stare at they were beautiful/handsome. In the most supernatural way possible but you didn’t know why? You sit with them and talk they are taken by you and you them. After that night the only time you both see each other. Is at night and you start to wonder what kind of mysterious things. Their doing that causes them to only meet up with you at night. We decided to create our own legacy one day as a community effort and so the Boba Tea Tales Legacy was born. This legacy is meant to give you new ideas for storylines and introduce you to new gameplay that you never really thought about doing yourself. 

Remember that this challenge isn’t meant to restrict you entirely. You are allowed to make some changes to the rules to fit your gameplay. It’s all about having fun!

BASE GAME VERSION

General Rules

Each generation will represent 1-3 colors. You must dress up your sim and decorate their houses in their color theme. OPTIONAL: match their hair color and eye color to the theme colors.

Complete each given skill, career, and aspiration unless the goals state otherwise.

Starting budget: 1k-20k simoleons (you decide your amount!)

Play on whatever lifespan YOU feel comfortable playing on.

No money cheats unless stated otherwise!

If you roll a topping that gives you twins or triplets, you ARE allowed to cheat for them so your sim is  guaranteed to have twins or triplets.

You must roll a topping each generation for your 3rd trait and minimum kid requirements.

Generation 1: Brown Sugar

You loved cooking all your life. You loved creating and growing your own fresh ingredients for your dishes. However, as time went on in your life, you felt like something was missing. You are starting to burn out of this busy life so you decide to quit your job, pack up everything, and move to a whole new world. Maybe the simplicity of the country lifestyle is what you truly wanted all this time?

Colors: Brown & White Aspiration: Master Chef & Expert Nectar Maker Career: Restaurant Owner & Nectar Making Traits: glutton, animal enthusiast Skills: cooking, gardening, nectar making

Goals: 

Roll for a random topping to get your 3rd trait & kid requirements

Run a restaurant and get to at least 3 stars (you are allowed to use money cheats to afford the restaurant) before you quit

Move to Chestnut Ridge as an adult and start making money through nectar making

Marry a sim with the Rancher trait

Adopt at least 1 ranch animal

Complete half of the Master Chef aspiration

Complete Expert Nectar Maker aspiration 

Max out the cooking, gardening, and nectar making skills

Generation 2: Blueberry

You lived a comfortable life growing up on the farm with your family. You go into the business career because you knew it was a simple job that pays decently well. However, everyday was the same. Wakeup, get ready for work, get back home, sleep, and repeat. You’re tired of that. You quit your job all together and with the money you saved up, you decide to start traveling the world! You start a new channel for your traveling adventures and pick up odd jobs to keep doing what you love.

Colors: Blue & Purple Aspiration: Beach Life & Mt. Komorebi Sightseer Career: Business & Odd Jobs & Media Production Traits: non-committal, loves the outdoors Skills: fitness, rock climbing, media production

Goals:

Roll for a random topping to get your 3rd trait & kid requirements

Reach level 3 of the Business career before you start vacationing

Make money through odd jobs and travel vlogs (media production) once you quit the Business career

Travel to Sulani during the Summertime and complete Beach Life aspiration

Travel to Mt. Komorebi during the Wintertime and complete Mt. Komorebi Sightseer aspiration

Have a one night stand with someone you met while traveling and get pregnant/partner gets pregnant

Never get married

Continue to travel until the next generation’s heir is a young adult

Max out the fitness, rock climbing, and media production skills

Generation 3: Matcha

Growing up, you traveled everywhere with your parent and you saw them struggling with money. You knew you didn’t want that for yourself so you studied as much as you could to get into university. You would do anything to get ahead in your career until you bump into your work rival who ruins your plans. You try to befriend them and pursue them thinking it will benefit you. However, you start catching feelings for them. What will you do? Fall in love or break their hearts?

Colors: Light Green Aspiration: Fabulously Wealthy Career: Law (Private Attorney Branch) Traits: jealous, materialistic Skills: logic, research and debate, wellness

Goals:

Roll for a random topping to get your 3rd trait & kid requirements

Go to university and graduate with a Language and Literature degree (a distinguished degree if you want an extra challenge)

Befriend and pursue your ‘Work Rival’ for your own benefit (can be a co-worker if a work rival doesn’t pop up)

Decide whether you either truly fall in love or break your work rival’s heart once you reach the top of your career

Go to the spa every weekend

Complete the Fabulously Wealthy aspiration

Complete the Law (Private Attorney Branch) Career

Max out the logic, research and debate, and wellness skills

Generation 4: Passionfruit Mango 

Your parent made you pick up the violin and piano as a child. Turns out, you’re really good at it and you love music! You dedicate most of your life to music until you meet someone who will change your life forever. You introduce them to your family, but they do not approve of your partner because they don’t fit the ideal lifestyle your parent had for you. With the disapproval from your parent(s), will you continue to follow their ideal lifestyle for you or follow your own passion?

Colors: Yellow & Orange Aspiration: Musical Genius Career: Entertainment (Musician Branch) Traits: socially awkward, loyal Skills: piano, violin, painting

Goals:

Roll for a random topping to get your 3rd trait & kid requirements

Play the piano and violin throughout your childhood and teen years

Date and eventually marry someone with the art lover trait

Go on weekly art related dates

Have your sim and their partner have a negative relationship with your sim’s parent(s)

Complete the Entertainment (Musician Branch) career

Max out the piano, violin, and painting skill

Generation 5: Sakura

Your parents were the perfect couple! They were the definition of love so you wanted to help others find their soulmates too. You’re great at your job, but it seems like you have trouble finding the one for yourself. You go on multiple dates and your particular favorite dates are where you can show off your dancing skills. While you’re not on the dance floor, you love mixing drinks that you would love to share with your future partner one day.

Generation 6: Dragon Fruit

Your parents were all about love, and it made you sick to your stomach! Love? That doesn’t exist. So you spend your time breaking up happy couples because it’s fun. You love seeing people be absolutely miserable. You are just truly evil.

You attend university, but one day, you decide to attend a party your roommates invited you to and you meet someone there. You hit it off! You spend a lot of time with them and get really close. But uh oh! One day, you hear the news that there is a baby on the way so unfortunately, you drop out. You struggle with a part time job as you dedicate most of your time to your child and this stray cat you found one day, but eventually, you are able to go back to university and pursue your dream career!
