Yay, I might actually get to participate in the Madagascar Party this year! I wish I could make fanart, but unfortunately, I'm not the best at drawing so all I can do is make fanfiction and fan edits. I could also make some Youtube videos that relate to each theme! Now that I'm thinking about it, I think that would be a fun idea.

The number one thing about the show I would change is the characterization of King Julien. All Hail King Julien is proof of that Julien is an incredible character, so why was is it so hard to have Julien in TPOM be written the way he was in AHKJ? Or you know what, it didn't even have to be that. Julien didn't even have to be as awesome as he was in AHKJ. After all, he's not the main protagonist of TPOM, so I can understand why his character in TPOM wouldn't be as complex as it is in AHKJ. And honestly, that's not what I'm really asking for - I just wish that TPOM didn't make King Julien seem like this bad person who doesn't care about anyone but himself.

It makes you wonder - if they just wanted a character that would play the role of being the penguins' annoying neighbor that would constantly cause problems for the penguins and the zoo... Why couldn't they just create an original character to fill that role instead of flanderizing Julien in order to make him fit into that role? And this is coming from someone who loves the fact that Julien is in TPOM and I honestly wouldn't remove Julien from the show - but man, I would love the show ten times more than I already do if Julien was written better.

And it's not that I don't want Julien to have flaws - it wouldn't have been a problem if Julien caused problems and was an overly selfish character at the beginning of the show, but then realized the error of his ways and began to try and be a better character throughout the show. I would've loved that actually. And if we could've found out the reason as to WHY Julien acts the way he does in TPOM - that would've been even better. It wouldn't excuse his actions, but if Julien had some emotional reason as to WHY he is the way that he is TPOM, then at least that would make him a more sympathetic character in the show. Of course, I have my own theories as to why Julien might be the way he is in TPOM, but that's a topic for another day.

I could honestly talk even more about this, but I am so tired right now and I'll probably talk about this topic more another time, but yeah, that's the one thing I would change about the show. And I know some people might wonder why is it such a big deal - after all, we do have All Hail King Julien if we want to see King Julien at his best. But honestly, AHKJ doesn't entirely make up for how they wrote his character in TPOM - sorry, but it doesn't lol. Maybe I'm being petty, but Julien deserves good writing no matter what show or movie he is in. Also, I want Julien to be friends with the penguins, but Julien being flanderized kind of ruins some of the character interactions between Julien and the penguins. Like the penguins don't even know how great of a character he can be, all they know is the flanderized version of him and it's so unfair. But as I said, I'll talk about this more later.

Tpom Question for the Fandom:

If you could change one thing about the show, what would it be?

The simple reason Clover could beat any penguin individually and all four as a group is she can win against an entire pack of fossa while all four penguins were going to die fighting the same fossa. Clover is my favorite loser at life but she is stronger and more skilled than skipper enough where she easily has fun destroying animals that skipper would lose against. Clover, a tiny lemur, accomplishes the same effect as A LION

Regarding who's more experienced, it's not accurate to say Skipper has more experience than her, even if you believe he's older. Clover has been surviving in the wild and fighting relentlessly against deadly predators designed to kill her during all the years Skipper was living safely in a zoo. That's the definition of having more experience.

Clover in her free time boxes large mammals for fun every week, and she takes them out with one punch. Meanwhile, Skipper in a cage match against a large mammal was such a threatening dilemma for him to survive that it was the plot of a whole episode.
