i hear it as his relationship with his dad, the world, and the journey he is taking to becoming stronger and have more faith in himself. people underestimating him. the overall pain.

Omg, I love Ronan! The image of him trying his hardest to sew clothes for his daughter has wedged itself into my brain even more than Link's idea to test Quentin-shaped-airbag and both are equally bad for my heart and thank you!

I don't have any actors or people who I imagine in my head for Ronan, which I'm sure is super useful! In general terms, his vibe (now) is a little bit quirky, almost surfer dude-esque? Just that kind of beachy, sun-kissed kind of look, if that makes any sense?

He has a nose piercing, and for his hair, this is the photo from my mood board that I picture him the most with:

That kind of messy, long, mullet type.

He looks similar to Daria, with strong cheekbone and a strong jawline.

In regards to the top, I picture it similar to Link's climbing gear in BOTW. His sleeves are cut a bit shorter, like a tank top length, and the neckline is a bit more open (as he is in the heat more often). It's a dusty green colour. Some things Quentin hasn't noticed yet or didn't mention are his wedding ring (obvs) and the clay beaded necklace that Briella has made him which is red, yellow, and orange.

But I'm so glad you liked Ronan. He's one of my favourite people to write, and his story with Etta has been engraved in my brain for ages. I love the idea of girl dads trying their best. And yes, Link definitely saw an opportunity and RAN with it.

Ok just a question because I was rereading the last chapter (Quentin's brain is boiling, man oh no, bare arms, such danger xD) and I realised that Link has said:

“Reading your notes, they’re interesting. What does that say?” 

And I wonder which situation that is:

Link know how to read but Quentin's chicken scratches are so bad he has a problem with it

Link doesn't know how to read well so the word for Winterwing is a new one and he isn't sure if he read it correctly

He was able to read the words perfectly well but wanted to make Quentin talk

????

Hahaha, I love the thing you guys notice, it makes me so happy.

Link can read. It's number three. He wanted a reason to talk to Quentin and a reason for Quentin to talk. He wanted Quentin to talk about something he was passionate about.

Quentin's elixir work is also one of the first things that got them talking, and Link sees it as safe territory.

I loved how many of you commented on this chapter that Link is the definition of 'No thoughts, head empty' because it made me laugh and it's so true.
