‘‘I-- Whatever gave you that idea, Mum?’‘ Lucifer said, his mood diminishing, despite surrounded by several lovely ladies. Parents always knew how to crash a party, didn’t they? He furrowed his brows, not directly wanting to say the words outloud-- Even daring to pull out his phone as if he didn’t know what she was talking about. Scrolling to Charlotte’s chat window, he quickly typed out a response. ‘‘...Happy?’‘

“– I’ve never really been one for sarcasm.” Andrew murmured, a soft sigh parting his lips as he kept steady eye contact with his son; he had shied away from this reunion for far too long, he was not going to be so cowardly as to not meet Lucifer’s gaze.

Even though Lucifer’s talent did not work on him the deity responded truthfully, if a little hesitantly.

“I am here to apologise, Lucifer. For all that I did to you, and for all that you’ve been through.”

Lucifer lifted a slight eyebrow at that line, before grabbing the man’s arm and leading him towards the bar. ‘’....Right.. And I need another drink.’’ 

He finished what he had, placing it onto the bar, tapping the counter to let the bartender know to get another drink. 

‘‘Alright then-- Let’s play along with your bloody little charade. What makes you think I want an apology from my dear, ol’ deadbeat of a FATHER?’‘

She’s smirking, Trixie knew exactly what it was she was doing, of course she did. With a laugh she shook her head, “not if you don’t want to.” Of course she had got him to do it, he was predictable, ripe for her benign manipulation. “Mom and I got you one for our Christmas night,” picking up the bag from the couch she thrust it into his hands, as if his cooperation was now non-negotiable. “Mom’s going to be so happy you’re joining in.”  

Lucifer let loose a string of cuss words through his mind-- ‘’Goodie, at least I won’t be seen in public.. I have a reputation you so know..’’ He muttered a little hotly, before being a bit taken back as the bag was suddenly thursted into his arms. He lifted his eyebrows, taking a peak in. With a swift movement, the Devil took it out, gaping a bit at it. ‘’.....Right. Well. Until then.’’

A soft, gentle chime escaped the holographic screen as it flickered to life, holographic symbols in the Covenant and human languages scrawling forth, as well as a map of the general area around where he was stationed. Several locations were ping’d, with directions to reach them.

‘‘Wow.’‘ John mumbled underneath his breath, as he let his eyes take everything in on the screen. Numbers, names, shapes filed themselves away for memory purposes Maybe some food would let him try... to deal with everything. 

Feeling as if he still needed his weapon, he grabbed it up from its resting place and placed it onto his back before starting to head out. 

A certain sort of guard entered his eyes, as he started to walk down the hall.

“No, no. I’m fine. Thank you for your offer, though.” He replied. “Do you mind if I sit down somewhere, though?”

Mulder nodded a bit acknowledging the other. A slight hum exited from his mouth, as he furrowed his brows. Hm. Where could Chief sit? 

‘‘Er... Gimmie a second.’‘ The agent said, before shoving some papers off his couch to free up rest of space on the surface. ‘‘Sit there, should be okay.’‘
