a simple guide of which sub sandwich shops to ask for extra mayo at (and which ones not to)

from the very small pool of sandwich shops available near my house

JERSEY MIKES. THEY ADD WAYYYYY TOO MUCH MEAT. and like nothing else. YOU CSNT EVEN TASTW THE MAYOOOOOOO. like I hate Jersey Mike's but I WOULDNT if they had less meat and MORE MAYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooo

2. Subway. absolutely PERFECT amount of mayo. pristine mayo quantity. the standard

3. Jimmy Johns. well, this is a complicated one. it actually depends on the location. the one near the hockey rink might have perfect mayo portions but the one near the ramen restaurant and kickboxing gym might not. also, depending on the staff the mayo portions may vary.

4. Potbelly. I always ask for extra mayo at Potbelly, but its mostly because the mayo is disproportionately on one side of the sandwich. if they would just add a bit more mayo and even out the spread, then the propotions of the sandwich would be PERFECT. as they are when I ask for extra mayo.

REMEMBER: there is no such thing as TOO MUCH mayo, only too little.

personal anecdotes on why the above post means so much to me :) (i.e. personal experiences relating to the topic, and WHY the topic matters so much)

hi so I figure that I might add on to this post just a little bit... but plot twist, its mostly relating to personal shit I've been through tehe.

this sort of "feral gremlin who destroys everything" stereotype that a lot of people in the LU fandom often put Wild into, well, I can actually personally identify with a lot of it. when I was younger I was a very reckless, chaotic kid (still am like that lol). people around me would make comments on how I 'destroy everything' (GENERALLY referring to physical destruction but also referring to ruining family outings, trips with my friends, relationships, etc) and about how I could always be counted on to do something crazy. yes, these people would always be joking about this kind of stuff, to my face. yes, I was REALLY young (early-mid elementary school). yes, they would use this as a reflection of my intelligence. yes, this has become one of my biggest insecurities.

that, I suppose, was why making this post was really important to me. I absolutely HATE it when characters are reduced to a 'chaotic force of recklessness' and are given no chance by the fandom to be something more. because, well, I guess I kind of went through something similar myself.

other people have brought up that other characters, both in LU and in many other fandoms, get reduced to one or two small aspects of their personality. and while it is true that these characters are not real and have no real reaction to this type of mischaracterization, there ARE people who can see aspects of themselves in a certain character who is reduced to only stereotypes. sometimes real people also either are seen through this type of lens, or can internalize this and see themselves in the same way.

so be careful with our precious lil characters ok? be gentle and be nice (unless its time for whump or angst then HURT THEM). make sure that they are given full access to their personality, or I will beat you with a poky stick!

(also i know my username is not the greatest for someone making this argument lol. someone pointed it out in the LU community and I SEE U POOKIE hi there :) also it relates to an accident I had with toast I swear- )

lookie here. wild gets a lot of attention for being a feral arsonist, but unfortunately its often made into his ENTIRE personality in fanfiction (etc). which is an unfortunate, but common occurrence when a 'chaotic' character...well, exists at all.

but when people promote these qualities in wild they often seem to gloss over how smart this man actually is. people forget that out of the chain he is one of the most likely to have received a formal education............... not to mention most of the people he spends time with in game are SUPER MASSIVE SCIENCE GEEKS (Flora, Purah, Robbie, etc etc the list goes on), point being that he likely has extensive knowledge about varying scientific areas, as well as field experience. and in totk he's a freaking teacher.

but the real kicker? Wild is INSANELY creative and resourceful, as shown in game AND in LU canon. he is an out of the box thinker, and while his methods may be...... unconventional....... THEY WORK. and he has fun with it. that's the big one here.

yes, Wild sometimes does dumb things. but doing dumb things doesn't make the PERSON dumb. it doesn't DEFINE them- which I unfortunately see a lot in Wild's fanon characterization. to add on, this man woke up out of a dang cave after 100 years (and before that basically only military training) so LET HIM FREAKIN' LIVE!!!!

he is definitely (at least in my eyes) the most creative chain member, so why does this quality always get overshadowed by "hehe feral gremlin man"??????
