Realistic Hikana

I wanted to see what she'd look like in a different style because i only picture her as her stylised self while I'm writing. I find realism rather tedious but I think she turned out okay. The reference came in clutch tbh.

Hikana's twin lore

I've decided that just like how Sukuna's twin reincarnated as Yuji's grandfather. Hikana's sister's soul reincarnated as Satoru Gojo's grandmother. (Who I am naming Himari because we basically get no info on the Gojo's in canon) Both she and Satoru's parents are still alive in my fic: Splintered Soul. So they could possibly meet Hikana at some point.

I'd say Himari doesn't have an outstanding cursed technique but she can see cursed energy. She's an older lady probably in her 70's who likes gardening. She's quiet and doesn't really speak but when she does there's good reason. Satoru often found joy in annoying her when he was growing up. He definitely trampled her flower beds a few times much to her utter horror.

His refusal to acknowledge his own emotions because of his pride and for fear of seeming vulnerable makes me want to tear my hair out istg. But I can't see Sukuna willingly confessing such things until he gets defeated like how he admits in the canon it would have been nice to take a different path in life if he gets another chance.

His favourite flowers are borages

Whenever his s/o is sad, he'll make them a cup of their favourite drink

He loves being the big spoon so he feels like he's protecting them even in his sleep

Loves reading with his s/o in his lap, sometimes even reading aloud to them

Cuddles with this man is the best, especially since he's so tall

He is incredibly protective of his s/o, regardless of if he is a yandere or not, so the moment he sees they are uncomfortable in a situation or just need to get away, he'll do so.

While he may not be particularily fond of PDA, as he thinks it would put his s/o in greater risk of becoming a target, he is a huge snugglebug in private.

The moment his s/o cooks him some home-cooked food he's in heaven. It's not that he doesn't know how to cook, he just doesn't have time. So coming home to warm, homecooked food after a long night or day instantly puts him at ease. He always insists on cleaning up after though as a thank you.

Despite what you may think, he enjoys using nicknames with his s/o. His favourite are darling, my love, love, etc.

The first thing he does when he gets home is brush his teeth, shower and thuroughly mouth wash.

If his s/o needs a person in their corner, he's the man. He'll hype them up in whatever their passion is.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ONE OF THE MOST WILDLY MISCHARACTERIZED INDIVIDUALS IN MHA !! 🩸🗡

A lot of people don't understand Chizome's ideology or reason for existence in MHA because that is what Horikoshi intended with his character. Very little information is given about him despite his influence throughout the MHA universe because he's supposed to be nuanced. He's not meant to be completely understood in MHA or in our universe as watchers.

It takes a lot of deductive reasoning and intellectual ability to be able to grasp his intentions, ideals, behaviors, and the complexity behind his character in general. Most of the fandom will water him down to a crazed lunatic who just likes the idea of slaughter, which is blatant misinformation.

Most of the people who continue to mischaracterize him:

1) Didn't pay attention to anything he says or just don't have the intelligence necessary to comprehend the complexities of his advanced language.

2) Didn't pay attention to the "Aftermath Of The Hero Killer Stain" episode.

3) Didn't pay attention to his interaction with All Might.

4) Have not watched or read Vigilantes.

5) Deliberately ignore the meaning behind his actions and words as Stendhal in Vigilantes.

6) Do not know what happens in season 8 or further in the manga.

Those who get him, GET him. It's a shame that Horikoshi practically only gives us scraps of him, but again, that is intentional.

He plays a very important role in one of the six key points in My Hero Academia, joining ReDestro, Endeavor, Overhaul, the PSHC, and Shigaraki.

ReDestro: Freedom of quirk usage, mutant acceptance, complete liberation from the current hero society.

Endeavor: Quirk eugenics and the progression of quirk singularity.

Overhaul: The elimination of quirk eugenics through the use of the quirk doomsday theory - wished to erase quirks as a whole.

Shigaraki: The complete destruction of the hero society so that something new can be born from the ashes.

PSHC [Employers of Hawks & Nagant]: Limiting quirk use and creating several regulations on heroes such as the licensing and ranking system - while eliminating corrupt heroes and irredeemable villains behind closed doors.

Stain: A reformation of the current hero society to bring back the old age of heroes - true heroes - while eliminating both false heroes and villains who contribute to the corruption of the hero society (also the job of the PSHC).

Anyways, happy birthday, Stain. You did not deserve to be done dirty in season 8. I'm dreading it getting animated. ༼ つ ಥ_ಥ ༽つ

Trying to understand Stain ⋆˙⟡♡

(Headcanons and such because he's all I can think about atm)

He Idolised All Might from a young age and originally wanted to be a hero only to realise the harsh reality of their world.

He initially attempted to get people to understand his want for true Heroes peacefully as a teenager. Nobody listened.

He became a vigilante to take out evil doers himself such as criminals, rapists, pedophiles. He believed that any who “wielded power without conviction” were sinners. He used this belief to justify his actions as heroic. He considered his persona “Stendhal” to be the embodiment of judgement. However after his confrontation with Knuckleduster, and got his nose smashed in, the others mans words suggested that those who hide behind masks and false faces are phonies on a power trip. This caused him to change his beliefs and think that those who play “pretend heroes” are the reason for societies issues and he deemed them an even greater evil than villains.

He was severely mentally unwell during this incident and had been feeling that his actions as a vigilante weren’t enough. He was starting to consider his endeavour pointless with how he wasn’t seeing any change in the world despite how many villains he’d taken out. That’s why when he heard Knuckledusters words it gave him something to cling to; gave him a realisation that he needed to do more. A warped understanding if you will. His mental state also led to him mutilating his face to make a permanent change. His nose was broken beyond repair though so in his mind he was like ‘whatever I’ll just cut it off.’

He then resigned himself to abandon his hopes of being heroic and decided to use himself to send a message and became Stain. He’s all too painfully aware what he’s doing is morally wrong but believed that for society to be put on the right path that someone must be what he was, which suggests he saw himself as a martyr.

And of course, he decided the only person who was allowed to end him was the man he saw as a true hero; the one who stoked the fire in his heart in the first place – All Might.

OC stuff in my fic series that revolves around him:

Kintsugi Ito was a girl who helped him when no one else would. It was a simple thing, just her offering a hand to help him up after he fell in the playground but that was the start of their friendship. They both loved heroes and bonded over that initially.

Chizome was unaware of his quirk until he awakened it. He never knew his biological parents. When he first accidently ingested Kintsu’s blood it traumatised him because he didn’t know what was happening and why she was frozen for nearly 8 minutes straight. (Her blood type is AB) Having a 'villainous' quirk wasn’t what he’d expected at all. But Kintsu didn’t hate him for it and comforted him despite the fact she was scared too.

It's also implied that Chizome was probably ostracized for his quirk similar to how Toga was due to it involving ingesting blood. So, it’s likely most people steered clear of him.

Kintsu was the first person he met, aside from All Might, who embodied heroism. She was selfless through and through. She is somebody he views as a true hero.

Over the years he developed a crush on her that evolved into obsessive love because she treated him nicely and took the time to understand him.

Chizome has always been a bit unstable, his mental health issues initially stem from being an unwanted child since his mother gave him up at the hospital. That’s another reason why he got so attached to Kintsu and vowed he’d do anything for her because he didn’t want to lose her. Luckily for him she isn’t a horrible person and didn’t abuse the power she held over him. She’s a sweetheart and tried to help him with his mental issues wherever she could.

Both of them wanted to become heroes and got into the same hero school but he dropped out before graduating due to seeing the truth of the hero system and how it was flawed and corrupt. Such as how the other students weren’t there because they wanted to save people, but for money, fame; power etc.

He didn’t stop her from staying though and kept in contact with her as he tried to make his ideas known to the general public peacefully to varying degrees of success. During that time he trained himself in combat techniques and started vigilantism as a way to take matters into his own hands.

It shocked him to his core when he found out someone so sweet as her had gone through traumatising things at the hands of her own father. Chizome didn’t exactly have a good home life either but his adoptive parents hadn’t tried to literally kill him. It astonished him further when the police wouldn’t even take it seriously when he went and reported it.

The first person he killed was her father after her pleading to him to make the pain go away. (Her father abused her; tried to kill her but there was no SA involved. The man just resented her mother and took it out on her.)

Kintsu was grateful and swore to never tell a soul he was the one who did it.

Their relationship is complicated but she does return his feelings. She’s always cared for him and stuck by him even when he felt like he was losing his mind. That’s why he loves her.

Chizome had wishes of marrying her one day but it seemed less plausible as the years went on. She was his fiancé before she was imprisoned in Tartarus for doing something he deemed heroic and that entire situation just further spurred his ideology.

Stain didn’t just focus on false heroes btw. The whole point as to why he learned how to fight was to take down criminals and to be heroic. (To be like All Might) The show doesn’t exactly focus on that aspect but he was going around killing criminals. He’s known as The Hero Killer because that’s what the media reports on, since if some random awful person got offed people would say good riddance.

He’s killed more criminals than heroes.

Also, he does indeed do extensive research (stalking) into people he considers killing. He doesn’t take bloodshed lightly.

As for Tensei, he noticed him in the alleyway and tried to bring him in, that’s why Stain retaliated but didn’t kill him. Tensei had aspects that Stain would deem heroic, if he’d wanted him dead, he would be dead.

And yes I’m aware he deemed Iida a target after interacting with him but the guy isn’t exactly all right in the head. Plus his fiancé who kept him sane got imprisoned and he’s been without her for nearly 3 years at this point. It’s not an excuse but it gives some insight into why he’d make such a rash decision. (I’m not saying he wanted to get caught to go to Tartarus and find her, but...he’d definitely considered it. It could be why he let himself lose to three teenagers. Just think about it. He could’ve fled the scene easily with how fast he can move and yet he stubbornly stayed.)

Essentially both Kintsu and Chizome are morally grey characters who got hit hard with the harshness of reality at a young age and only had each other to confide in. Their desire to help the world improve being the driving force behind their actions. Chizome’s overall goal was that they could live in a just society and that he could keep her safe; that they could be content.

Now I know this is just me giving extra motivations related to my head canons. But honestly in the main story Stain was more of an embodiment of an idea that would be prevalent in the MHA universe, that made for a good antagonist, than an actual human character. Especially since his reasoning for why he became an extremist was never explored in detail – just the idea that false heroes needed to be purged because they were a scourge on society.

Overall Stain’s ideology remains the same in my fic and just has extra driving forces behind it.

This took me 14 hours. My hand hurt.

The height of him is so inconsistent, in vigilantes he looks taller than knuckle duster who's 6ft 1. He's hunched over constantly when he meets Deku and such so I'm saying he's AT LEAST over 6ft 5.

I think the poor guys shrinking tbh, like dude stand up or you're gonna get back problems at this rate.

And yes I did redesign his shoes in the most recent outfit to suit him better. The ones in the official art didn't go at all.

Like what even are these??? It looks like he's bout to start tap dancing not fight.

Anyway, I keep doing more art instead of writing the damn fic at this point. It's a work in progress. At least I've got the character designs down now.

Yes Chizome. A humungous chin if you will. You could stab somebodies eye out if you're not careful.

I attempted to draw more similarly to Horikoshi's style. I always give my characters visible nostrils in my style so the first drawing irks me a bit but at least I did some art :)
