It surprised me that you think Jiara ending the season broken up is a likely possibility. I figured because they ended season 3 with this weird ambiguity in terms of their relationship status that it pretty much guarantees they’ll be firmly together by the season 4 finale.

Also, they’ve been together for a year and a half. They’re most likely living together. They’ve built a life together. I just don’t see how they could plausibly break up – especially over Luke 😖

I’m sure he’ll cause issues for them and cause JJ to spiral again, but the furtherest I figured it’d go is maybe JJ doesn’t tell Kie his Dad is back, she finds out (maybe because Luke targets her!) the trust is broken, and they take a sort of “break” from each other for awhile.

But I’m a lot more optimistic that certain events this season will bring them closer together again even if the family drama does cause some kind of rift.

If they do end the season separated I’ll be pretty surprised and definitely not as into it for the drama as you are lol. Maybe I should prepare myself for disappointment 😅

I mean, I think this is pretty much the same thing I said, or at least what I meant. Maybe it came across differently. Sometimes tone is hard to read online I guess. Let me go back and edit lol.

I am not necessarily “into the drama”, but I do like character driven angst and realistic development. I don’t want drama for the sake of drama… in fact, that’s the opposite of what I want. But I am trying to be realistic about the show we’re watching. Jiara is not jarah but we are watching a teen drama and I think a break is always on the cards. Plus I stand by the fact that JJ realistically is not going to be over his issues.

Just to be clear, in the Jiara I see in my head, I’ve always thought they’re a “when we’re together we’re together and will stay together” ship. But they also got together in the middle of the show and we know the drama isn’t going to come from Cleope. Just preparing myself I guess! And I guess more so what I meant was all “drama” for them wouldn’t be necessarily be bad and I hope if we do get it, it’s not stupid variety like the Pates gave us before with jarah. It’s not that I want them to be broken up at the end of the season; I’m just really conversing with the other anon over possibilities!

Remember how in the spoiler from Morocco JJ and Kie were barely close to one another?

I have a theory that Luke coming back is gonna be their couple drama, they’re gonna fight about him and they’re gonna distance themselves and later in the season they’re gonna break up and s4 is gonna end with them like, s5 they’ll get back together.

I fear that Jiara might be the one who’s in the middle of the fire now, I highly doubt that Pope and Cleo are gonna have any massive drama between, those two are too peaceful together and with John B and Sarah they’ve already reached the peak with the cheating story, now Topper is even out of the pic with his girlfriend…but Jiara just got together and considering how they’d NEVER cheat on each other and love triangles are already done and over with them, their families are the topic that’s gonna stir up shit between them

I’M JUST GETTING READY TO SUFFER, considering how John B and Sarah were hit way too hard in their relationship last season, Jiara is probably in for a ride 😭

Yeah, I’ve always thought the family stuff/JJ’s issues will definitely be an issue for Jiara, which is much more appropriate for them than anything like Jarah’s drama. It’s not like someone like JJ can just get over all his trauma overnight, even though he’s trying. I’m more than happy with some good angst as long as it doesn’t kind of ruin their character integrity like S3 jarah did. I hated that cheating storyline so much.

As for the broken up at the end of the season thing, I agree that’s always a possibility and could be really juicy going into s5. It makes sense. HOWEVER… seeing how they’ve repeatedly been too scared to have jarah broken up over a season break even when it would’ve benefited them, I’ll fully believe it when I see it. I know they’re too entirely different ships but the pates have shown they are creatures of pattern so many times and with their ships they do seem to like to play it their version of safe. But maybe they’ll do it 👀

Edited to clarify I still don’t really think they’ll be broken up at the end of the season or necessarily want that but I am down for some angst along the way!

I haven't kept with Outer Banks since the last season ended do we know anything about season 4 especially Jiara? Are they broken up like a lot of people believed or are they together?

I would recommend just looking through my obx s4 tag.

We don’t know if they are broken up at any point in the season or not but I’m sure there will be angst. There’s not really anything screaming “definitely broken up” or “definitely together” lately; not too many spoilers on them, which I’m happy about.

What tag should I got to for Jiara without seeing the antis? btw I hope Kiara doesn't forgive her parents they're terrible I was hoping they might redeem themselves but not they're dead to me I also hate how they always treat JJ like crap

So, really the best method for me is just following the right people with takes you like and sticking to your own dash. I also blacklist the anti Jiara and opposing ship tags, but obviously everyone doesn’t tag correctly so a big thing is just liberally blocking anyone who pisses me off.
