i swear to god the most insane rube goldberg ass thing just happened to me so i was playing a game, right, and i heard some sort of noise, thinking someone opened the door behind me I turned around and in the process i knocked down a cup of coffee that was standing next to me. the coffee then proceeded to drip down behind my desk, EXACTLY, with MILLIMETER accuracy, hitting the copper prongs connecting my pc with my power outlet, causing a short and consequently, a power outage in my entire home luckily my pc survived but holy shit what are the odds

As he writhes around he screams "I-IT WAS COMPILED WITH GCC! THAT MEANS IT'S STILL GNU!" Coolly, I reply "If windows were compiled with GCC, would that make it GNU?" I interrupt his response with "-and work is being made on the kernel to make it more compiler-agnostic. Even if you were correct, you won't be for long." With a sickly wheeze, the last of the man's life is ejected from his body. He lies on the floor, cold and limp. I've womansplained him to death.

if you're using something as minimal and lightweight as alpine, why ruin that by using the bloatware you call a DE? just go with a tiling window manager like a reasonable person
