Tum'nan clan general information

Their emblem symbolize 7 volcanos that surrounds their village.

This post is also kinda update

Name of the clan

The name is Tum'nan which came from word mix of na'vi "txum" - "poison" and "nantang" - viperwolf (well, part of it "nan" which I assume is "viper" —> snake )

I've decided not to change this part even tho it's not being quite correct

And in the end we've gotten - The clan of Poisonous snake

Biome

Desert and it's geographically divided into 2 parts:

- the black desert;

- the gray desert.

There is also an unofficial 3 zone - mixed (sand from both deserts on the border slowly and gradually mixed)

Grey desert is a perfect place where volcanic spit (and their village of course) is located since they have settled lifestyle.

Clan origin

They were the first people who were separated from Ni'awve (the first clan ever) by continental separation.

After that their protocontinent - Eriff - got "splitted" by water into main land Tala and few islands Crehwa.

The times when Eriff existed are called "Suat'we gera" - "United times", and the times when it got separated "Mreya gera" - "Lone times".

When they understood that they were separated from others (from Ni'awve) they started to survive on their own. After a while they've created a clan, the first desert clan - Suat'we clan.

The clan was tough, the nature was tough around them and they behave the same way. They used the gifts of Eywa like it was nothing only because they started to think that their life's are more important that the life's of other Eywa's children.

And then, in those dark times, the had found metal. Metal deposits that wasn't that deep from the surface. After that.. the rivers of blood flowed on Eriff.

A small group of na'vi understood, deeply in their souls, that those things weren't right and they have begged. Begged Eywa for forgiveness. For peace. For change. And Eywa heard them and splitted the land into Tala and Crehwa.

Tala became the home for those who begged for changes. And Eywa gave them another gift - she changed their look - their skin got darker, their ears and tail became longer but the also left a reminder of their previous doings - their skin pattern was asymmetrical, imperfect.

Crehwa people didn't change that much, they only got paler. And since their land didn't had that much sources they've decided to destroy Eywa and her other children with even more passion. They were the ancestors of The Mangkwan Clan.

Tala people's group wasn't that big so they sticked together for many generations - Nerayo clan (Lost clan). And then to split into smaller clans but it didn't last long, maybe around 5-7 hundred years, and they united again and became The Tum'nan clan.

Culture

Dwelling: they live in tents that are made of dense but breathable fabrics (to keep warm on cold nights and save from the heat). Also as a symbol that they remember how their ancestors were nomads.

Household items (cups, bowls and other small items): are made of clay, carved from trees or bones of animals.

As a vessel for liquid, they use a stomach of a tya'le - specifically processed.

Because of this, lightness, compactness, versatility and durability are valued in clothes, but on special events they dress up pretty good.

Also they make their clothes last longer, so it could be passed to their children and etc

Craft (a distinctive feature that gave the name to clan): they extract poison from a snake and processed/convert it for various purposes:

spider web is boiled in poison (pre-web is extracted from the belly of an "spiderscorp");

tools are processed with poison - arrows, spears, sabers;

poison (after long boiling) can be smeared on the body for the warming effect.

Tum'nan clay toys

Clay plays a very important role in the culture of deserters, it can be used to make dishes and jewelry, as well as toys for children.

The toys are fired and painted with natural paint.

The paints are made of:

the base are utawa eggs or honey,

with the addition of plant pigments, berries, fruits and flowers (to achieve fluorescence, imitating the tanhi (bioluminescence) of the night color of animals).

General characteristics of the subspecies

Hair color: from dark-brown to black

Hair texture: varied, but mostly from wavy to coily (because the clan is a hodgepodge of past old clans)

Eye color: various shades of orange (more like honey)

Skin color: from dark-blue to dark purple

Skin pattern: lightning-shaped/tree-roots

Average height:

for males - 2.60-2.80м,

for females - 2.50-2.70м

Body type: plump (if compared to other na’vi subspecies)

All their calories go into fat mass, because you can't survive in cold deserts without fat.

Differences: ritual scarification

The ashes of atokirina are used as the contents of the scar (because of this, they seem slightly blasphemous to the rest of the na'vi, which is fundamentally wrong, but about this in the following posts)

For ordinary na'vi, these are marriage scars on the forehead – for women in the form of a drop, for men -in the form of an inverted drop.

For he'tar (tsahik), scars are applied in a very interesting way: the scars on her forehead are placed as she learns – the training lasts for 20 years, and every 5 years she is given a corresponding scar on her forehead. Scars on the arm are applied at the end of training - each scar is each successfully completed aspect of training.

A little bit about the "Atlantis" base. What is it all about and where did it come from. Due to the successful interaction with the indigenous people (Grace and her school) and the extraction of valuable resources from the planet Pandora, the monopoly company - RDA - has decided to expand its area of influence on it. This was the reason why they have created the research team B “Sea Devils” , which included the best minds of planet Earth in various areas (you already saw them in previous posts). Their main task was to explore new territories, as well as create innovative drugs based on Pandora biomaterials.

Their group, consisting of 4 scientists, 13 personnel and 6 military personnel, was sent to the new experimental base - "Atlantis". Description of the base: The building is partially located in the water and includes 3 floors. The first ground floor is "residential". On this floor there are: a dining room-lounge zone, a hall, a kitchen, showers and bathrooms and bedrooms of employees. On the first underground floor there are: a research area, medical rooms and patients' rooms. The second underground floor is the "technical floor".

Немного про базу "Атлантис". Что это вообще такое и откуда оно взялось. Из-за удавшегося взаимодействия с аборигенами (Грейс и её школа) и добычи ценных ресурсов с планеты Пандоры, монополистская компания РДА решила расширить свою сферу деятельности на ней. Была создана исследовательская команда Б “Морские дьяволы”, в которую вошли лучшие умы планеты Земля в различных областях (о них уже было рассказано в предыдущих постах). Их главной задачей стало исследование новых территорий, а также создание инновационных препаратов на основе биоматериала Пандоры.

Их группу, состоящую из 4 ученых, 13 персонала и 6 военных, отправили на новую экспериментальную базу “Атлантис”. Описание базы: Здание частично находится в воде и включает в себя 3 этажа. Первый наземный этаж - "жилой". На этом этаже находятся: столовая-комната отдыха, холл, кухня, душевые и с-у и спальни сотрудников. На первом подземном этаже располагаются: исследовательская зона, медкабинеты и палаты пациентов. Второй подземный этаж - "технический этаж".

And our last character from the Atlantis base is Marcus Akinjide. A lone scientist, a master of his craft and a secret fan of everything cute.
