Just saw that some unhinged, vile, s(um on earth, kpop male stan reported Lara of Katseye to ICE with her full name and everything and I am left just shaken. I have seen my share of hate rooted in racism/xenophobia but to see someone do something so cold, brutal and life-altering just because they don’t like a teenager in a band is just, it says so much about the kind of people you deal with on a regular basis on Twitter.
I know it’s not gonna directly affect her, she’s rich and a born citizen, but you can’t just help but think when we as a society got to a point where it became okay to actively cause physical harm to an artist you will probably never even have to see once. Her family still lives there and ICE has been leaving a devastating trail lately. It’s just so so not justified. Fanwars shouldn’t go this far. We need to hold people accountable, this isn’t okay.

The hollow machine: On recent projects and the illusion of depth
Saw on Tumblr under the Jimin tag a new capsule proof album thing right after the mini capsule albums during Festa. Let’s call it what it is: HYBE has become a factory of empty content. From the Monochrome Project to the Proof Capsule Album, to BTS Poly and those never-ending photo books that blur together with identical aesthetics and recycled sentiments. None of it carries artistic weight. None of it feels necessary. And yet, it keeps coming.
But this isn’t just about a lack of creativity or meaning. It’s about money; an insatiable, hyper-capitalist hunger for profit dressed up as sentiment.
This is a billion-dollar conglomerate. It has more than enough resources to invest in meaningful art, take creative risks, or even just give the artists space to grow. Or just have the decency or quality checks to not put these seriously mediocre or even bad pieces out. When the group makes their extremely awaited comeback, then may be it's appropriate to create a diversified set of album/merch etc. But right now, it keeps choosing the cheapest path to the highest margin. Slap on nostalgia, print a few glossy books, dig out old footage, and call it a “capsule”, and fans will buy it, because the emotional strings are expertly pulled. Our biggest voice - ARMY, the last page reads as the label ignores a millionth mail asking to protect their artist or not to continue associating with the most insidious man in the music industry.
This isn’t fandom culture. This is corporate manipulation. Fans are being guilt-tripped into consumption with the illusion that buying in means caring. That criticism means disloyalty. I know a lot of people who are now completely depleted from buying everything they have churned in Chapter 2, I know a few have oped out. But I still see them constantly sell out.
It’s predatory. And it’s not just spiritually exploitative. It’s materially exploitative too.
Think of the environmental impact. The endless packaging, the production of physical goods that serve no lasting purpose, the international shipping, the surplus waste. All of this is being churned out in the name of “connection” and “family” and “BTS=ARMY,” when really it’s about building quarterly revenue.
We are watching a label squeeze the emotional capital of a fandom dry, over and over again, while contributing to environmental degradation and calling it a “gift.” And still, they want more. More spin-offs. More merch. More low-effort video content with terrible edits and zero narrative substance.
Once in a while, if you’re lucky, you catch a glimmer of humanity, like that quiet video with Jimin and Namjoon discussing purpose, where something real flickers. But most of it is just branding.
And maybe the most tragic part is that they know it’ll sell. That fans will keep buying because they’ve been made to feel that loyalty mean “never question the system”.
HYBE has built a time machine. One that doesn’t allow anybody to move forward—artist or audience. Instead, it traps us in this nostalgic loop of constant buying, constant performing, constant pollution, all wrapped up in a fantasy of connection.
But it’s not connection. It’s capitalism with a sentimental mask.

Jimin isn’t an extension of you
Any time Jimin comes through with a message for the members or ARMY, there’s a sub group of the solo fandom that gets pissy. They get annoyed, huff and puff and act like he’s doing something incomprehensible. First of all, if you have a problem with Jimin declaring his love for the team he’s worked with for 10 years, you have chosen the wrong person. This is the man that calls his peers in the Military his baby. He’s just made like that. He will always love those around him and this is a group that he’s been with since he’s 17. He loves his bandmates, it’s a fact. They might have their moments of discomfort, but that doesn’t negate the fact that they have good moments too. If you are so far into the solo rabbithole and you forgot what made Jimin so lovable and kind in the first place, you gotta take a step back. If you can’t accept it, you gotta unstan because that will never change. Ask veteran PJMs who have been around since 2018, and they will tell you how they accept and acknowledge he’s full of love and nothing will change that. And how they feel about the members has no impact on Jimin’s actions. Please evaluate why your hate for others is stronger than your love for him.
you all might come from a well intended place but you don’t know him personally neither do you know his friends. He wouldn’t go into the military with one of them as a buddy if he didn’t like them. Y’all have built this narrative in your head about each of them being cartoonishly evil towards Jimin and any time Jimin praises them, you let the resentment show. He’s not you, he’s not an extension of your thinking. He’s his own person and he has always loved his members. I used to be an ARMY when the fandom was sane, now I don’t think I qualify the label anymore (thank universe for free will and critical thinking), but even when I have chosen to love Jimin a lot more and focus all my energy on him, I haven’t deluded myself into thinking he will also distance himself from his team. What y’all are trying to say is that Jimin is either too naive, too unaware of how “terrible” his friends are and he’s ridiculous for loving them. Think about it a little. He might be stuck at a label that doesn’t support him well or has a biased take on how they should approach solo projects, but he doesn’t/wouldn’t hate any of the members. And if you think that isn’t for you, unstan.

Jimin is highly relatable. When I go to hangout with my friends and at some point at night, we get super vulnerable and open and speak our hearts out and declare how invaluable the other ones are and then get embarrassed in the morning with all the sharing hahahaha. Love you, Jimin. You are love personified ❤️

Appreciation for KPJMS
All For Jimin Korea is a dream fanbase to have. Hardworking, driven, undeterred by challenges and concerns, strong, reasonable and well spoken. They are the best fandom to rep Jimin. I have attended events held by them when I was in SK for Jimtober, and they are every bit wonderful in person. They also evolve and adapt quickly, and HYPE has done a phenomenal job training them unintentionally by being fkn weirdos. Onwards and upwards guys!

Taking shipping to IRL is a huge disservice to the people you stan
Last night, I came across a few posts on X about a group of shippers visiting Z Millennial Cafe, which belongs to Jimin’s family, famously so. They apparently left a book made by them that shows both Jimin and JK’s achievements calling it ace duo, princes of Busan or whatever. Today a fellow PJM confirmed it is true. It’s concerning how some fans are combining the works of these two individuals, almost forcing a connection between them. It’s like they want them to have a unified identity. It’s such a disservice to both of them. Jimin has had a dream run as a soloist, that’s his father’s cafe, you should be able to celebrate him and leave him memorabilia that’s dedicated just for him. It’s evident that this is the closest, acceptable shipping material they could leave there without getting called out. Plausible deniability is what they were going for. It’s shameful behavior. I don’t care what you think of JM’s father in your head, but that’s his bread and butter and place of work. It’s sacrosanct. Use your pea sized brains and keep that man away from your delusions. It’s perfectly fine to appreciate and celebrate each artist's unique talents and skills separately. However, what's distasteful is when fans take their personal fantasies to an extreme level, targeting real people with their delusions. It’s not like you are leaving these things at a fan meeting or HYBE building. You are involving a completely innocent party into your weird narratives. Learn to appreciate artists for who they are, without crossing boundaries. Get a life. Thanks

Jiminettes, take a bow!
Logged out last night sort of upset because there was once again the rinse and repeat scene of Jimin not being prioritised in the fandom. A clear indicator of if it ever comes down to him and another member, it will never be him. The resentment was so so palpable. Anyone who wanted to vote for him was met with “he has a daesang already”, “Jimin will be happier if the other wins”, “we need to prioritize the leader this time”. I understand the guilt and shame of not being able to give RM what he deserves, but so far the voting policy has always been “who’s got a better chance”, and it’s switched up once again. And once again, it’s totally okay if they all decide to vote for RM, but the mass outcry to not vote for Jimin even towards those who wanted to, was so gnarly. The announcements of how they would be sad if JM wins, were startling. One really stuck with me - it was this Spanish ARMY claiming how they would be heartbroken if JM wins this and that’s somehow not an anti-Jimin take. They are so resentful of Jimin and the awards and wins he’s gotten, that him winning one more would make them upset because the other doesn’t have any. But I guess that’s what happens in a fandom that can’t accept all seven of them can’t and won’t ever have an equal chance at success. That’s the perspective of someone who thinks all seven of them deserve the same wins, and if somehow it doesn’t happen, the ones to pay the price should be the ones who have succeeded somehow. Woke up this morning to see Jmn charts and Jimin BR have struck a handful of voting collabs. So many!
I have always said this, PJMs are the miniature version of the OG army which I was a part of (2015). The well organised, driven, hardworking fandom. I am so glad despite everything else, Jimin has built himself this fandom. Yeah there are some utterly unhinged ones in there, but if you put 10 people together, there will always be at least one bad egg. Overall though, when it comes to efforts, this is an absolute dream of a fandom. This is the kind of fandom artists long to have. Jimin will be okay. They have got his back. So grateful for you all’s hardwork. I don’t know if we will win this, but today was a clear testament to your resilience and what you are capable of.

Happy 2nd Birthday to the people’s princess, Like Crazy. When we heard vague testimonials from the lucky first listeners who were at Jimmy Fallon, I knew that it was going to change lives. I’ve never been more grateful to be right.
I wish I could replay the moment it hit #1 over and over again. From seeing the entire fandom erupt in celebrations with everyone losing their minds and fandom hugs, to hearing of the member’s, his producers, his father congratulating him on the spot (Hobi tearing up!), to his nervous and speechless livestream, to the level of vindication that we experienced all at once…nothing could ever top it.
Like Crazy brought so much life back to fandom, for both ARMYs and JM’s own solo fanbase. The energy behind each achievement it made leading up to this he #1 was almost reminiscent of a BTS comeback. She was the first to make history and laid the foundation for every bit of success that’ll follow and I will forever hold her close to my heart.

Face isn’t just an album, it’s a part of Jimin that he showed us, a side of him we’ve never seen before. Every track is an emotion, a moment of vulnerability that he had the courage to share with us. I’m so grateful that Jimin chose to let us into his world and show us his truth. I love every single piece of this album, and I know it will stay in my heart forever.

You know you stan the right guy when his album is something you can literally make anyone in your circle listen to because you know there’s just a song in there that everyone falls in love with. It’s mostly been Alone for my circle. But every single one of them, banger after banger. Thank you Jimin for FACE. My first and last bias and Kpop soloist. With you since 2015, will continue till you continue!
