Hi, this is my first ever blog. I'm Althea C. De Villa 17 years old. I like to travel and take some photos and post it. I hope you like it!
We all know that the Philippines is a tropical country in Pacific Ocean, blessed with beautiful natural landscapes - and active volcanoes and extreme weather patterns. It is known for having rich biodiversity as it's main tourist attraction. So here are some beautiful destination in my hometown which is Bataan.

Diocesan Shrine and Cathedral Parish of St. Joseph is located in Balanga City Bataan. This is the seat of the Diocese of Balanga which comprises entire of the civil province of Bataan. Many people go there especially on the day of Sunday. The priests are Fr. Ernesto B. De Leon and Fr. Regin Tenorio.
Flaming Sword of Pilar

Flaming Sword Monument is dedicated for the Filipino and American soldiers who showed bravery to faced the threats in our democracy during the World War II. It is located at the crossing of Pilar in front of Pilar Municipal Hall. As you can see in the second picture I'm with my cousins, three of them is from Leyte and they visit and admire our province.
Mount Samat National Shrine

Mount Samat National Shrine or Dambana ng Kagitingan is dedicated to the soldiers who fought for freedom in the Battle of Bataan. The length of this Shrine is 90 feet (27 cm) while the width is 18 feet (5.5m) and lastly the height is 92 meters and (302 ft). In order to go to Mt. Samat you need a 448 steps zigzag footpath through the bloodstone, which is said to be the rocks from Corregidor stained by Japanese blood. While I'm standing at the Mt. Samat I just realized that I'm standing at another piece of history.
Dunsulan Falls
Tumblr media
Dunsulan Falls is the an aesthetically pleasing waterfall and likely the most accessible waterfall in the Province of Bataan. It is located at the foot of the mountain of Mt. Samat. When you enter the place you already feel the relaxation, peaceful and serene. People there are friendly and kind. The place is also have a enough space for the visitors and when you're bored there is a swell tree hoping adventure for all. The Dunsulan Waterfall is 20 ft high you can't jump to the water because there are a spikey rocks underneath the water falls.
Tanato River Park

Tanato River Park is the most visited during sunny days because when you go there you feel the relaxation and enjoyment because you experience the clear and cold water. It also have the cottage wherein you can rest and eat. We are enjoying the vacation because of this river.

I visited Bataan Tourism Center when I was in my last grade in Junior High School. And I remember when you enter you will see a beautiful lounge, they also have souviner shop you can buy anything. After that we go to the Exhibit Hall of center it shows how Filipino suffers during WWII. When you visited it will help you gain more knowledge and preparation for an exciting adventure ahead in the City of Bataan.
