disabled intersex trans person saving up for rent
hello there, i am a severely disabled intersex trans person who is currently saving up for rent. i am schizophrenic, i have hEDS, degenerative disc disease, and am developing Crohn's disease. i am dealing with a lot of severe chronic pain, as well as fevers, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, intestinal cramping, fatigue/exhaustion, and debilitating symptoms that make it impossible for me to work a conventional job. it is summer where i live, and it has been getting up to 101 - 103 fahrenheit so far this year, which exacerbates my symptoms greatly. i am currently waiting for a colonocopy/endoscopy to try to get more answers & treatment options for my crohn's, but for now, i am very sick, in the middle of a flare up.

My name is Hai and I live in Gaza. Once a place full of life, it has now become a symbol of destruction and death. Our small dreams have vanished. We no longer wish for a future or freedom — our greatest hopes now are a piece of bread, a drop of clean water, or medicine to ease my sick child’s pain. We live under constant bombing, surrounded by ruins that were once our home. There is no safe place left… even dreams have become terrifying. My husband, my ailing child, and I survive each day on nothing but a hope we can’t see, in a world that seems to have forgotten we are human. Our cries go unheard… as if the world has closed its heart and ears to us. I write these words with tears in my eyes, hoping they reach a compassionate heart — hoping humanity still exists somewhere on this earth. Is anyone listening? Is there any hope…?

12 cracks on the ceiling, one threatening to fall down at any time. The mirror blinks, but I don't so I won't miss it. My tongue is dull and blue, and it burns when I move it, so I don't. I stare and listen. The stars are loud and angry and they die more often than they used to these days. I don't trust time anymore. Not even for a second. The soil that I walk on despises me. It burns my feet, and blisters grow where it kisses them.

Imagine risking your life just to gather food for your family—only for shells to rain down on you as you wait in line.

This is the horrifying reality Hossam Al-Qazzaz faced this week.
Already displaced from their home, Hossam, his wife Hanan, and their four children—Bashar (9), Hani (8), Diana (4), and 9-month-old Habiba—are struggling to survive in a battered tent on the coast after being evacuated once again from the ruins of their home in Khan Younis.
To feed his starving family, Hossam often walks over 14 kilometers to reach aid distribution points; an incredibly dangerous journey, where many are shot or trampled in the ensuing chaos of the actual distribution.
Just days ago, while at one such aid distribution site, tragedy struck:
Shells were fired into the crowd.
Hossam was there with his brother-in-law, Mohammed Zanad (who we've previously written about HERE), and Mohammed's son, Abdul Rahman, when the violence broke out. Hossam suffered minor injuries to his face, but his brother-in-law and nephew were badly injured; Mohammed was badly injured by shrapnel across his entire body, while Abdul Rahman suffered a severe injury to his right hand. As of this writing, he remains in a British field hospital awaiting evaluation; the little boy’s hand may require amputation.
After days without contact due to the internet outages in Gaza, Hossam messaged us this morning, frustrated and exhausted:
“We were together, the three of us, at the aid distribution site, and a missile fell on us and those present. Now we can only pray for them. He is a poor little boy. I hope God heals his hand. Please pray for him...”
Like so many in Gaza, the Al-Qazzaz family is trapped in an endless cycle of terror, injury, and loss. They are battling hunger, constant bombardment, and the inability to flee because of closer borders and war-induced financial hardship. Skyrocketing food prices and destroyed infrastructure make basic survival nearly impossible, forcing Hossam and others like him to go to these dangerous aid sites to simply not starve.
Please consider donating to the Al-Qazzaz family's fundraiser. Every dollar we send the Al-Qazzaz family helps Hossam and feed his wife, four young children, and elderly parents without having to risk death to do it; buy formula for the youngest child, baby Habiba; help support the family financially as they are continually forced to relocate and start over with every attack that claims their belongings; and cover any necessary medical care or other essentials for the family.
The trauma this family is enduring is unimaginable, and they need help urgently.
If you are able, we implore you: please share the Al-Qazzaz family's story far and wide, and donate, of you're able. Their campaign has stalled, and they haven't received any donations in days. If we all contribute even a little, we can help this precious family survive—and give them a chance to escape this nightmare.

exactly :((

From A tehrani resident who barely got out let me inform you of some of the things currently going on here:
Israel bombed two of the highways leading out of tehran, both are blocked now. The remaining highways had heavy traffic until few hours ago. After israel bombed every oil tanks and refineries around tehran, a shortage of petrol happened. Now most petrol stations are out of work and if you're lucky enough to find one that's still operating, you have to stay in hours long lines in hopes of getting max 15 liters of petrol. So even with a car, it's not guaranteed you can get very far from the city.
There's also the matter of where to go and stay. The bank system is half working, no cash available at the time. And you can't exactly sleep in the deserts around the city. Most people still stuck in tehran don't have anywhere to go and they don't have the money to afford relocating themselves (it's always the lower class that gets the worst hits)
All of these are beside the fact that most people can't leave the city under any circumstance. They have chronic illnesses, they have sick family members who needs care, they work as emergency workers and can't leave their lines of duty.
But these mfs don't care about human life getting destroyed. It's just numbers to them, expendables. Our own government has abandoned people to die horrible deaths, they never cared and they don't care now. People of iran are worth nothing to nobody. It's Gaza all over again.
I have family and friends still in tehran who can't leave. I'm bracing myself for the worst case scenario. I hope all those who start war, add fuel to the flames of war, encourage it and cheer for it, burn and rot in hell. I don't really believe in hell and afterlife, but I hope it's all real just to see these people get what they deserve

im in disbelief at the fact that a lot of folks are simply over palestine. like protests are dwindling down. people are not very interested in news related to gaza. some are simply over it.
israel hasn't let aid in gaza in 70 days. gaza has been starving for 70 days. the condition of people there is horrendous.
i find it distressing to think about children in gaza. how does one continue to have a childhood in a genocide? they don't have school. they don't have safety. they don't have food.
despite all this, the kids will be alright. they'll be alright once the genocide stops and they get back to 'normal'. till then, can we please try to support them however we can?
this fundraiser (verified) helps feed a family which includes two young children. please consider helping their mother take care of them.

Please, don’t let our fathers be crushed in death lines. Don’t let us grow up among the ruins of life. 🙏❤️🩹
I’m Zeina, and today I turn twelve years old. I was supposed to celebrate like I used to in past years…
My 12th Birthday… No Cake, No Gifts, No Laughter
My dad would always prepare little surprises for me—delicious cake, a gift, maybe a new toy.I was the spoiled child of the house, and my joy meant the world to my family.
But this year is different.
This year, there’s No celebration. No cake, No gift, not even a candle to blow out. This year, there is war… famine… and fear that steals sleep from our eyes. I’m not crying over a cake or a toy—I'm crying over something much more important… "My father".
The man who always held me tightly is now at risk just by stepping outside to get us food. We fear he won’t return—only a body wrapped in a shroud.
We will not allow him to walk into death traps. We love him, and we want him to stay alive. We simply cannot bear to lose more.

Help Abdul Rahman's family 💔
I want to share something urgent and important with you. My name is Abdul Rahman, I'm 23 years old, from Gaza, and I currently live with my two young sisters. Moments ago, the Israeli occupation forces fired a rocket near the building where we live, and the situation is getting worse.

My sisters and I need your help. We need donations to feed myself and my family while we survive in these difficult conditions. I ask you from the bottom of my heart to donate whatever you can to help me. No amount is too small.💔

Today, my friend donated 5 euros—can you match or even double his donation? Please don't ignore this request. My family and I need you now more than ever.
