Before you complain Instagram, I HAVE censored ALL images in advance 🙄 Gallery trips are always a great way to bump myself out of a bit of an art rut and last month I went to the Picasso & Paper exhibition at @royalacademyarts Man that is one HUGE exhibition and I have to say I don’t love all of his work but his early drawings really do resonate with me. I decided to do a basic illustration based on one of the monolithic drawings that inspired me. Swipe to see the original (scale in unfathomably large; as big as the whole wall!) YUMI “Cake Date” shirt from my new collab with @yoyothericecorpse 💚 Only available for preorder until March 14th ✨ . Let's start with the fabric (my favourite part!). It is made from 100% Poly Jacquard Check. I know "poly" doesn't sound great but I have spent ages testing different fabrics and ordering samples over the years to find the perfect fabric! It is super soft to the touch and light-weight, floaty and flowy perfect for warmer weather. There is a slight texture to the surface of the fabric and my most favourite part is that because it actual is a poly, it is so easy to look after! You can wash it at 30 in the washing machine Please do not tumble dry but that's not a real problem as this fabric is practically crease proof!
