It’s all a dance. I lead, I choose the steps. You decide when we stop. You dig in your nails, you hold on with a bruising grip and don’t let go. I try to pick a dance you’ll like, I try to take the steps you would, but your gaze is never less hateful. The jester and the puppet. The strings and the cage.

My Hero Academia AU: I Want To Be The Hero In Your Story

Compilation of my Fuyumi and Touya fanart.
...
I just really love these two in Ambush Sim.
...
“You know you always have me, right,” she whispered. “Please never forget that.”
“Yeah. I know.”
“You and me against the world, remember?”
"You and me."

They didn't talk ever when they went for walks. It was always Shouto's idea to go and Touya almost always protested, but the exercise was important and so Shouto gently insisted, carefully compromising on distance and where they went to appease him.
Touya chose the garden today.
Yuina said he liked it there. Anywhere outdoors really. Even inside, he always wanted to be sitting by an open window no matter the weather.
And Shouto had started to question if his brother felt trapped when the house was shuttered.
...
Yes, this is implying Touya is extremely claustrophobic after what happened.
One thing I’d like to note for this series, Touya is able to walk with assistance, either with a cane or support from another person or both. He can’t walk very far or particularly fast and it’s an exhausting effort for him, so he does prefer a wheelchair or occasionally being carried, but he’s not completely non-ambulatory.
The rindou and purple wisteria are for his flames.

Yuina walked down to the riverbed where she’d left her charge to relax for lunch. He liked to lie there in the shade and she hated to disturb him on a such a lovely day.
But this, unfortunately, would not wait.
Touya opened his eyes at her approach and pushed himself upright, wary and searching. It wasn’t time to go back inside yet and he hadn’t called her for anything. In his mind, that almost always meant someone was here to see him, and it wasn’t Shouto. Shouto was always welcome and would just walk down to meet him.
“Your parents are here,” Yuina said softly, kneeling beside him. “What would you like me to tell them?”
Touya thought about it a moment, then signed, “Send them away. I don’t want to see them.”
Yuina nodded. “I can lie. I can tell them you aren’t feeling well and want to rest.”
“Tell them the truth.”
“Very well.” She started to head back the way she’d come, but hesitated. “It isn’t my place, I know, but I am curious. Will you ever see them again? You allow your brother to visit.”
He wouldn’t tell her why he spoke to the youngest brother alone. The sister called often, not to speak because he was unable, but just to check in. And sometimes she asked to visit. The other brother neither called nor visited. Their parents made the drive out here at least every other week, as they’d done when Touya began refusing their company last minute.
Today was no different. He offered her no explanation.
So Yuina nodded in understanding. It wasn’t her place to argue, and though the importance of family was deeply ingrained in her heart, she knew it was not always so simple. Still, she could not help but mourn her young patient’s loss. “Can I get you anything else?”
Touya looked to his unfinished meal, his books, his journal, and seemed to think on it a moment, but all he signed was, “This is enough.”
“All right,” she said and she left to break the news to his family.
They will leave in silence. Sometimes, the mother will cry. Sometimes, the father. But they never protested. They never insisted. They never pleaded.
And maybe, Yuina thought, maybe that was what Touya wanted.
Some sign these visits weren’t just parental obligation.
Or the product of their guilt.
...
I'd been wanting to draw something with a garden in Touya's house arrest. This isn't so much a garden and more so just the bank of a river on the property, but I think there's room for some symbolism in water being the opposite of fire.
But at this point, Shouto is the only family member Touya is one speaking terms with.
I may do a full one-shot with this eventually.
#quietly and without complaint#I like to ponder about a post-canon where Touya lives and this series is such a lovely imagining of that!#there is so much sadness to his story these moments of peace are really nice!#even if bittersweet bc of all the underlying trauma and grief#post canon#bnha#dabi#todoroki touya

Quite a few people said they liked the conversation between Touya and Ragdoll at the end of Chapter 11 of The Summer Camp Ambush Simulation, so I decided to finally do a bit of fanart that I've been wanting to do for a long time.
I really love the headcanon that the Wild, Wild Pussycats were part of the search and rescue team that looked for Touya after the fire. At the time, they would have been 21-22 years old, so this might have been one of their first losses where a child was involved, and it was a colleague's kid, so that might've hit a little close to home.
...
I also would like to thank everyone who's been reading Ambush Simulation and/or following along with the lore drops for this alternative universe. You all are the best and I can't wait to bring you Chapter 12 because we finally get into some further development for Touya and Shouto's relationship and there is an unlikely canon character Tenko interacts with in his investigation.
Right now, the final chapter of Cracks in the Foundation is closer to finished, so that will probably be updated first, but with a little luck, Summer Camp won't be too far behind.
Thank you, everyone.
...
If you're new to Ambush Simulation and have no idea what I'm talking about, it's an alternate universe in which the Vanguard Action Squad's attack on the summer camp was a test sanctioned by UA.
Other canon divergences include:
Shimura was adopted by All Might before AFO found him.
Touya returned home after the fire/coma, but nothing else changed so he's still a mess physically/mentally/emotionally.
Toga is still a disowned teen, but she's got the best support group she could as for.
Full series found on Ao3.
More content found right here.

So there's several layers of dramatic irony to this comment from Endeavor. He can kill a "bio-engineered freak" with no remorse here. But this was also the chapter when Endeavor met his twice over bio-engineered son for the first time since Sekoto Peak.
Like the high-end noumu, Dabi was also a patchwork existence pieced together from the dead. But on a fundamental level, Touya's existence was due to Endeavor's desire to bio-engineer his version of the perfect quirk.
It's also notable that while Endeavor's feelings about it were completely different, he used the same maneuver from this fight in his final battle with Dabi. He brought them both up into the sky until someone burned to ash
