You know he or she is somewhere in this huge crowd. You start to look at all the faces around you. You call his or her name. Can you ever find him or her this way? This sounds like a bad dream. But it is the way Magellanic penguins find their mates. These big, black and white sea birds do not fly. But they can swim very fast and walk very slowly. There is something else that is special about these birds. Magellanic penguins are monogamous. The penguins have the same mates for their whole lives. During the winter, Magellanic penguins swim in the ocean. In the spring they return to the land. They are ready to mate and have babies. However, the mates have been separated. Each penguin needs to find his or her mate again. The penguins all come to the same place. One hundred thousand [100,000] penguins walk about. Each penguin looks for its mate. All the penguins are calling at the same time. It is a very noisy crowd. But each penguin can identify the sound of his or her own mate. This is the way they find each other again. “It is unbelievable how far Magellanic penguins swim and each mating season they come back to the same place and the same mate.” Penguin have one mate throughout their entire life. They spent almost half of their life looking for their destined partner, and then spend the rest of it with him or her... When a male penguin falls in a love with a female penguin, he searches the entire beach to find the perfect pebble to present to her. And when he finally finds it, he waddles over to her and places the pebble right in front of her. Kind like of proposal. In life many people find it difficult to be faithful. People have to decide to be monogamous. However, they have to choose to be faithful and work hard at it. Amazing Fact ♡♡♡

While the journey in learning another language takes time and it undoubtedly is filled with obstacles, but in the end worth it. We need language to express ourselves. With language we can tell others our feelings, wants, and needs. These include some of the most profound feelings of love, peace, and friendship amidst negative feelings, as well. Language is the way that you express yourself. You think in words and you exchange thoughts with words. That is why language is so important. Without language you would not be able to think about the world and connect to others with these thoughts. You would not be able to listen to others and understand them. Words are important. Reading them helps you to gain knowledge and wisdom about endless things that you are not limited to by your experiences. These thoughts then effect your emotions, ideas and feelings. Language is at the base of all knowledge. It truly helps develop our intellect and our emotions, ideas and feelings. Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere. Once you learn something, you take that knowledge with you forever. It will be a source of continual learning. No one can take that away from you. You can never lose it. It is extremely valuable. There is no worth that can be attached to your learning. That is why it is so “treasured”. You may try to share it with others, but it is yours to keep. Learning is truly immeasurable. It impacts your life exponentially. Learning has a power to change your life. You may not see this at the present time, especially when you are trying to learn and you are running into some obstacles, but in the end (just like most other things when you mature), you will see the value of this learning. Then you will be appreciative of what language skills you have gained. I did then what I knew how to do. Now that I know better, I do better. 以前的古人是舉頭望明月，低頭思故鄉。 我們唸中學的年代是舉頭望黑板，低頭思便當。 現在是舉頭望白板螢幕，低頭看自己手機螢幕。 以前的古人是夜來風雨中，花落知多少。 我們那個年代大學住宿是夜來巴掌聲，蚊子死不少。 現在的學生是夜來訊息聲，整夜睡不著。 物換星移，時代在改變我們。 唯一不變的是： 學習要加，驕傲要減，機會要乘，懶惰要除。不止數學，態度上也要學會加減乘除。
