no one in the hunger games universe was inherently a bad person. as humans, our instinct above all else is to survive by any means necessary. they were products of the system in which they were forced into - a system defined by class divisions and poverty which fueled fear and anxiety which was let out through violence. they fought by any means to survive in a society and a world that ultimately failed to fight for them.

I'd truly be the worst person to stick into a timeloop because I'd really just spend the first 5 years catching up on my book tbr, the next 7 on all the movies and shows that've Been On My List for ages, and then another decade on ao3. like sure nothing may stick but my memories will and i can just go into a supermarket to get snacks and wine each day, and i have art to indulge in. like thanks for the hints on how to get out but respectfully, I am busy

You are not falling behind. If you haven't touched your WIP in weeks, if you haven't come up with a new idea, if you haven't gotten your book done and it's been 3 years, it's okay. You are not falling behind. Unless we are obligated to reach a deadline, we begin to believe that we are failing. We see countless people finishing their projects, selling their books, succeeding in the field you're in. And it's hard not to compare yourself to them, you're similar but they are doing the work, and you haven't written a paragraph in over a month.

Comparing yourself to others is a downward spiral that will never give you satisfaction. It's a difficult thing to try and overcome or ignore, but you have to. Instead of seeing other people's victories as a failure on your side, try and see them as goals. Goals to reach, inspiration to get back to your WIP, write that paragraph, or finally try and finish that book.

There is no secret that they know, and you don't. They aren't worse or better than you. There is no right answer. No finish line you need to cross. You work at your own pace, create goals to strive to and try not to compare your progress to others. Enjoy the process!

i will never be normal about dramione. like i know it is most probably not canon compliant but do i give a shit? no. it is the fandom's work of art. and i love this for us, it is such a magical thing to experience and witness. all the fans, fanfic writers and artists are amazing. and we have something amazing. like dont connect dramione from the source material cuz it has evolved into its own thing and is far far more beautiful than it originally is. UNGH

IMDTIAM - Chapter Five

Hello, everyone! I just wanted to come on here and say that, unfortunately, I don't think I'm going to be able to update this weekend. My posting schedule is usually Mondays, but this week has been so crazy and there's been a lot happening behind the scenes that have just meant I haven't been able to write and edit as much as I wanted.

I'm really sorry to have disappointed anyone and I hope I can possibly post a double chapter next week but we'll see. Thank you to everyone who has read IMDTIAM so far, I appreciate you so much and I'm so grateful that anyone at all is interested in what I have to say🫶🏼

In My Dream, There is a Meadow

I started writing this fic a while ago and really didn't like what I'd created, so I took it off AO3 and kept working on it. Since then, I've re-written parts and really tried to improve my writing, and I'm really happy to say that I've re-uploaded the first three chapters!

I've created this blog specifically to connect with people who have maybe read and enjoyed my writing, so please feel free to leave me a message or a comment with some feedback! I love fanfiction, and I love writing, and I wanted to use this opportunity to improve my writing and to develop my craft and skillset.

I really hope at least one person likes my writing, but you can find it here if you do want to give it a read. I don't have a set upload schedule, but the first few chapters are written, so at the moment I'm planning to upload weekly (on Mondays).
