the princess and queen make quite a pair don't you think :-) kind of an au where the canterlot wedding went a little differently and they eventually get gay horse marriage'd.

in this vague au, chrysalis takes shining armor's place and they fall in love and once the deceit is revealed, it's even more horrific on cadence's part. i think chrysalis falls first but she deals with it poorly since that's a huge vulnerability and for an enemy no less, but it's partly cadence's love for her that makes her even reach out and offer a truce between them.

i don't have much thought out but eventually they reconcile and chrysalis stops wanting to commit arson due to being in love and they get married and become joint empresses of the crystal empire and hive :) in general the hive specifically is much more the crystal empire's ally than any other equestrian society's. chrysalis is still kind of awful but she's learning. also they have a million kids.

mane six redesign - i pretty much like their designs as is so i only did a few changes. might play around with twilight and dash’s designs in the future tho :0

can you tell i drew the more detailed ones way longer ago haha. The first picture is the most accurate as I'd settled on most design changes by the time I did it. I'm not totally satisfied with them but overall I'm happy.

the basic headcanons for the pony races are:

• unicorns are pretty tall and thin in general. overall light but not hollow boned. their horns have no bearing on their magic capabilities but that's a common superstition. cloven hooves, big ears, and lion-like tails with hair on the ends. fewest in number of the three main pony races. their subspecies is kirin.

• pegasi are the smallest and lightest race, with hollow bones so that they can fly. they are pretty weak-legged so they're the race to wrap their legs most often for practical reasons. they have closed nostrils and feathered ears to protect them while flying. their subspecies are bat ponies.

• earth ponies are the largest race in number and have the most variety in physical type. they have really strong intuition and while they might wrap their legs, it's for fashion. what they tend to do is wear horse shoes, particularly the ones that do a lot of physical labor. their subspecies are the crystal ponies, but they're commonly believed to have been the common ancestor for the other races.

I think about their makeup and weight mostly because of alicorns being something you can ascend to. I have to imagine it's most difficult to turn an earth pony into an alicorn simply because they are more likely to be the heaviest of the races and so their wings have to be pretty grand to counteract that. but i love earth ponies. i'm their number one defender for real ✌️✌️

Berdlys glasses pinch to his beak (why would it have halters when he literally doesnt have ears it could hold onto

Leather shoulder pauldron for susie... girl pls wear at least a little armor if youre gonna be the tank (i drew the strap too low lol its supposed to go over the top of her chest and under her armpit... oopsie

Ralsei also has pouches bc i think hed be the mom friend who has all the essentials in it (compared to kris who has a bunch of random shit in their inventory lol

The gang with shadowcrystal boss equips + kris doodles bc i love kris

JevilsTail on susie is literally just her tail but grown out by clown magic; PuppetScarf has 2 hand-claws that move constantly in very unnatural optics (think 3d tenna in 2d pixel game) which susie finds creepy.

^ someone on twt commented how kris would flirt with the dealmaker like this and i instantly had the vision so clear in my head my hand almost moved on its own
